Company Overview

Red 6 is an innovative Augmented Reality (AR) technology startup leading the way in synthetic air combat training. Our primary technology, supporting our ATARS product, enables pilots to simulate the cognitive challenges of flying while accessing realistic, scalable training in dynamic outdoor environments.

The Role

We are building a modern big data insights platform that leverages AI to transform how instructors and students review training missions. As the Product Manager for this product, you will be the voice of the customer — ensuring that what we build is grounded in real-world needs and delivers a modern, intuitive, and beautiful user experience.

You won’t just be writing strategy decks; you’ll be in the field, observing debriefs, talking to instructors, and bringing those insights back to shape product direction. You’ll combine deep customer empathy with a sharp eye for web design and usability, ensuring our platform feels as polished and functional as the best consumer web applications. You'll be responsible for setting up the data pipes and user access to all future products

What You’ll Do

Customer Discovery & Research

  • Immerse yourself in the customer environment — attend briefs and debriefs, interview users, and synthesize insights into actionable requirements.

  • Drive an iterative feedback loop: continuously validate hypotheses with real users rather than speculation.

Product Strategy & Execution

  • Own product roadmap and prioritize product requirements for a web-based platform powered by AI.

  • Partner with design to deliver a user experience with the polish and taste of leading consumer web products.

  • Ensure the product balances both front-end usability and back-end AI performance.

AI & Evaluation (Evals)

  • Collaborate with AI teams to define success criteria for model performance.

  • Develop frameworks for evaluating AI outputs at scale — combining automated metrics with hands-on user testing.

  • Ensure that the results delivered by AI meet the bar for accuracy, usability, and trustworthiness.

Cross-functional Leadership

  • Partner with engineering, AI/ML, and design teams to bring product requirements to life.

  • Communicate customer needs and priorities clearly, keeping execution grounded in real user problems.

  • Advocate for customer UX excellence across the organization.

What We’re Looking For

Experience

  • 4+ years of Product Management experience in a web or consumer-facing software environment.

  • Strong track record of customer discovery and user-centered product development.

  • Experience working with AI/ML products, including designing and running evaluation frameworks (preferred).

  • History of creating software platforms and systems that consume data with authentication, government requirements, users roles, and permissions.

Skills & Mindset

  • Relentless focus on the customer: comfortable observing, interviewing, and learning from users in their environment.

  • Deep appreciation for great design and usability — a product taste shaped by modern web standards.

  • Analytical thinker who can design experiments, interpret results, and drive decisions from both data and qualitative insights.

  • Strong communication skills; able to align diverse stakeholders around a shared product vision.

Preferred

  • Experience working on vertical and horizontal platform products.

  • Background in human performance, learning science, or adjacent fields.

  • Familiarity with military or training environments.

Why Join Us

You’ll be shaping a product that bridges the best of modern web UX and AI innovation, serving a mission-critical customer base. If you are excited about building beautiful, functional, and impactful products — and doing it hand-in-hand with users — this role is for you.

Full-Time Employee Benefits

  • Healthcare, Dental, and Vision (100% coverage for Employees)

  • Paid time off, including vacation, sick, paid holidays, and parental leave

  • Short and Long-Term Disability

  • Flexible Spending Account (FSA)

  • 401(k) Retirement Plan

  • Voluntary Worksite Benefits (Accident, Critical Illness, and Hospital Indemnity)
