In this position...

As a Product Manager for Salesforce Platform & Engineering, you will define and execute the overarching vision for our Global CRM ecosystem and Enterprise center of excellence. You will serve as the link between business objectives and technical implementation, ensuring the platform remains scalable, secure, and performant. Your mission is to treat the "Platform as a Product," driving a roadmap that prioritizes engineering excellence, CI/CD maturity, and developer productivity. We are seeking a strategic leader who excels in navigating high-ambiguity environments and can translate abstract visions into the concrete technical requirements needed to build "0 to 1" solutions from inception to launch.

Based in Dearborn, MI, this is a hybrid position with a requirement to be onsite four or more days per week. Relocation assistance may be available for qualified candidates.

Responsibilities

What you'll do...

Platform Strategy & Roadmap:

  • Vision & Strategy: Define and execute a multi-year roadmap for the Salesforce platform that aligns with department and enterprise goals.
  • Platform Health: Prioritize technical debt, refactoring, and architectural upgrades alongside business-facing features.
  • Technical acumen: Proven ability to evaluate the pros and cons of complex technical architectures, balancing immediate business value with long-term platform health to make informed, data-driven decisions.
  • ROI & Value: Track and report on platform-level KPIs, such as deployment frequency, system uptime, and total cost of ownership (TCO).

Engineering & DevOps Excellence:

  • Developer Experience (DevEx): Own the tools and processes that enable developers to work efficiently (e.g., GitHub CoPilot).
  • CI/CD Oversight: Partner with Engineering Leads to optimize the release management pipeline (e.g., Copado) to ensure fast, safe deployments.
  • Governance: Establish and enforce platform guardrails, including coding standards, approved architectural patterns, ensure Data Subject Requests compliance, prod monitoring, and security protocols.

Stakeholder & Team Leadership:

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Act as the liaison between business product managers, enterprise architects, legal, data engineers and cross-functional teams.
  • Backlog Management: Lead agile ceremonies, translating complex and most times, ambiguous, technical needs into well-defined user stories and acceptance criteria for execution.
  • Mentorship: Guide junior PMs, TPMs and peers on Salesforce best practices, execution strategy and product management methodologies.

Technical Product Discovery:

  • Vendor Management: Evaluate third-party integrations and Managed Packages to ensure they meet security and performance standards.
  • Feature Advocacy: Stay ahead of Salesforce’s release cycle, identifying new features and unlocking new channels(e.g., Data Cloud, AI/Einstein, Flow enhancements, IVI, WhatsApp) that can be leveraged to solve business problems.
Qualifications

You'll have...

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
  • 7+ years of Product Management experience, with at least 2+ years specifically focused on the Salesforce/CRM ecosystem.
  • Deep understanding CRM/Salesforce architecture (Multi-tenancy, Mulesoft APIs/Integrations, RestfulAPI, Cloud Computing, batch data ingestion, etc.).
  • 2+ years of experience managing a platform "as a product," focusing on scalability and customer satisfaction rather than just "checking boxes."
  • 2+ years of working in Agile/Scrum methodologies with tools like JIRA.

Even better, you may have...

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to articulate the ‘how’ and ‘why’ behind technical decisions to both technical and non-technical audiences. You can navigate complex stakeholder landscapes and build consensus around platform priorities.
  • Salesforce Certifications: Certified Salesforce Administrator, or System/Application Architect certifications are a significant plus.
  • DevOps Knowledge or experience with Salesforce DX and automated testing frameworks (e.g., Copado, Jenkins).
  • Data & Analytics experience with Salesforce Data Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Sales Cloud, Mulesoft integrations, MCI/MCE or similar.

You may not check every box, or your experience may look a little different from what we've outlined, but if you think you can bring value to Ford Motor Company, we encourage you to apply!
As an established global company, we offer the benefit of choice. You can choose what your Ford future will look like: will your story span the globe, or keep you close to home? Will your career be a deep dive into what you love, or a series of new teams and new skills? Will you be a leader, a changemaker, a technical expert, a culture builder…or all of the above? No matter what you choose, we offer a work life that works for you, including:

  • Immediate medical, dental, vision and prescription drug coverage
  • Flexible family care days, paid parental leave, new parent ramp-up programs, subsidized back-up childcare and more
  • Family building benefits including adoption and surrogacy expense reimbursement, fertility treatments, and more
  • Vehicle discount program for employees and family members and management leases
  • Tuition assistance
  • Established and active employee resource groups
  • Paid time off for individual and team community service
  • A generous schedule of paid holidays, including the week between Christmas and New Year’s Day
  • Paid time off and the option to purchase additional vacation time.
