SailPoint is looking for a product manager with passion, drive, and focus to join our newly formed shared services team.  This position will require a unique blend of thinking strategically outside of the box combined with hands-on practice experience and excellent communication skills.  Additionally, a technical understanding of enterprise software customer IT environments and rapidly evolving security and compliance technologies is critical.   

The product manager will work with internal and external stakeholders, including peer product managers from other lines of business, to help shape the vision and execute on delivering value that will be leveraged across the portfolio of SailPoint products.   Candidates must be comfortable navigating complex and ambiguous challenges, and working in a fluid, fast-paced environment.

About the Role:  
As the Senior Product Manager for AI Security, you will be pivotal in shaping a core component of our identity security platform. Your days will be dynamic, ranging from strategic planning and market analysis to collaborating with engineering on the technical details of a new feature. You will be the voice of the customer, translating their needs into actionable product requirements, and working to define and execute a product vision that leverages AI to enhance the user experience. You will be the expert on your product, comfortable communicating its value to both internal stakeholders and external partners.

You will join a highly collaborative and innovative Product team. We are a group of passionate individuals focused on developing, launching, and continuously improving SailPoint's suite of products. Our team is dedicated to a culture of open communication and teamwork, where you will work closely with other product managers, engineers, architects, and marketing to bring your vision to life. 

Roadmap for Success 

30 Days  

  • Actively learn the AI Security product, its existing roadmap, and the competitive landscape. 

  • Introduce yourself to key stakeholders, including engineering leads, other product managers, and marketing counterparts, to understand their roles and establish working relationships. 

  • Present a summary of your initial findings and learning plan to your manager.  

60 Days  

  • Take ownership of the AI Security product backlog, prioritizing features based on customer feedback and strategic goals. 

  • Collaborate with the engineering team to refine requirements for the next product release and finalize the sprint plan. 

  • Develop and present a set of success metrics for an upcoming feature launch.  

90 Days  

  • Independently lead a feature from conception to launch, managing the entire development lifecycle. 

  • Create and present a business case for a new AI-powered enhancement to the Access Requests experience, gaining consensus from key stakeholders. 

  •  Conduct your first customer feedback session to gather insights for future product iterations.  

6 Months  

  • Deliver a product roadmap for the next 12 months for the Access Requests product line, outlining key initiatives and their expected impact. 

  • Propose and lead a strategic initiative to improve the product, such as a new integration or a significant user experience overhaul. 

  • Act as a mentor to a junior member of the product team, sharing your knowledge and expertise 

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in all areas of the product lifecycle from gathering requirements to launch readiness.
  • Drive product innovation and opportunities through feedback from our various internal stakeholders, partners and customers as well as market data.
  • Engage with stakeholders to scope work, understand impact, and gain consensus.
  • Work closely with architects and engineering to develop, prioritize and manage the product backlog in a lean / agile environment.
  • Maintain roadmap and coordinate adoption of deliverables with other product lines and our partner alliance team.
  • Help define success metrics and measure impact and results of new deliverables.  Gather production feedback to prioritize in the product backlog.

Requirements: 
 

  • Strategic Clarity: Ability to drive roadmap clarity and proactively unblock delivery to ensure project milestones are met on time and with high quality. 

  • Operational Excellence: A self-starter who thrives in fast-paced environments and possesses the ability to deal with ambiguity, turning complex challenges into actionable plans. 

  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in a product management role, with a proven track record of managing SaaS and/or cloud infrastructure or AI products. 

  • Engineering Collaboration: Demonstrated success in partnering closely with engineering teams to plan, develop, refine, and launch high-impact enterprise software products. 

  • Technical Proficiency: Experience with AI/ML, open platform technologies, and security domain is highly desirable. 

  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, and communication skills, with the ability to align diverse stakeholders toward a common goal. 

 

Education: 

BA/BS in business or technical field required. MBA is a plus. 

Travel: 

This position requires approximately 5% - 10% travel. 

 

Benefits and Compensation listed vary based on the location of your employment and the nature of your employment with SailPoint.

As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the SailPoint Corporate Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission, along with potential eligibility for equity participation. SailPoint maintains broad salary ranges for its roles to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect SailPoint’s differing products, industries, and lines of business. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity. We estimate the base salary, for US-based employees, will be in this range from (min-mid-max, USD):

$126,600 - $213,462.00

Base salaries for employees based in other locations are competitive for the employee’s home location.
