Job Description
As the General Manager of Small Dollar Lending in Business Banking, you will lead the transformation agenda, to meet changing market demands and customer expectations. In this pivotal role you will partner closely with risk, finance, and product development, to shape the Product P&L (Profit and Loss). We're seeking a strategic leader who also thrives in the details and has a proven track record of successfully driving innovation to design a clear digital and customer experience roadmap for our business. Your tenacity to build strong relationships with a cross functional group of stakeholders and financial acumen will kindle a collaborative spirit to guide the Small Dollar Lending business into the future.
Job Responsibilities:
- Set the short- and long-term strategies for the business, including new product launches and enhancements to existing products
- Collaborate with Development Teams: Engage with development and design teams to set strategy, clarify requirements, provide feedback, and ensure that products meet the mark
- Collaborate to deliver Product Roadmaps: Create and prioritize product roadmaps that outline the strategic direction, ensuring they are communicated and understood by all parties
- Define features and structures for Business Banking lending products, such as interest rate structures and fees, in partnership with Finance and the GM of lending
- Partner closely with finance to define the pricing strategy and testing plan
- Provide strategic inputs into the pricing process. e.g. how should product pricing be presented to customers
- Monitor business performance: Analyze product performance metrics and user feedback to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven decisions to enhance the product and returns
- Manage relationships with partners to understand unique small business needs and propose bank and partner-initiated lending opportunities
- Stay Informed on Industry Trends: Continuously research and stay informed about industry trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation to drive increased value across small dollar lending within Chase
- Demonstrate strong business leadership and focus to exceed expectations
- Possess superior knowledge of small business lending and acquisition, including digital/mobile acumen and portfolio management initiatives
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- 10 minimum years of experience in Banking, Finance, or related field involving consumer or business lending
- Deep experience in lending products; specific experience in small business lending is a plus
- Extensive acquisition and portfolio management experience combined with partner/client relationship management and the ability to actively shape and manage a P&L
- Demonstrated experience overseeing process execution and governance
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with a track record of initiative, resourcefulness, flexibility, and creative problem-solving
- Ability to develop and articulate well-thought-out business cases and their financial impacts
- Demonstrates superior judgment to mitigate risk impacting the firm's reputation
- Proven track record managing in complex environments.

- Advanced data analytics and insights capabilities
- Experience with innovative lending technologies
- Strong network within the small business and financial industry
- Advanced Degree preferred
