Group Summary:
Cosma provides a comprehensive range of body, chassis and engineering solutions to global customers. Through our robust product engineering, outstanding tooling capabilities and diverse process expertise, we continue to bring lightweight and innovative products to market.
Job Responsibilities:
Lead and manage product engineering activities from program pre-award through production launch and ongoing production support.
Ensure all product designs meet customer specifications, internal manufacturing capabilities, quality standards, and cost targets.
Serve as the technical liaison between customers, manufacturing, and tool suppliers, and cross-functional internal teams.
Drive robust product launches by supporting APQP, engineering change management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Protect program timing, cost, and quality objectives through proactive risk identification and resolution.
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor's degree (B.S.) or equivalent certification from a four-year college or technical school.
- Five years' experience in applicable automotive manufacturing role.
Preferred qualifications:
- Computer skills: proficient in Microsoft 365 suite of applications, PowerBi, Power Automate, Vizio.
- Proficiency in CAD modeling software. Catia or NX experience preferred. (TeamCenter experience is a plus)
- Mastery in GD&T: knowledge of ASME Y14.5 or ISO 14385 for proper symbol application and interpretation.
- Operational knowledge of AIAG & ASTM industry standards.
- Ability to interpret material certifications for steel & appropriate applications.
- Ability to interpret simulation software (AutoForm, Dynaform, PamStamp)
