As part of our Investment Solutions International Product Team, the successful candidate will support Mercer’s investment solutions private markets product strategy across Ireland, wider Europe, Asia and the Middle East. Reporting to the Head of Product, the Product Development Manager will lead the design and scoping phase of the product development lifecycle and will be responsible for product governance processes and the ongoing management of the funds. This is a highly visible role requiring collaboration with a broad set of stakeholders internally and externally, including investment and commercial teams, Legal, Compliance, Portfolio Intelligence and operational teams.

We will count on you to:
- Lead the design and development of new funds, ensuring product initiatives follow the appropriate product governance processes and associated approvals are obtained.
- Partner with investment and distribution teams to define the investment strategy, fund requirements and features (e.g. liquidity features, carry structures, share class features, fee structures).
- Lead changes to existing funds, ensuring existing products remain current, appropriate and compliant for clients.
- Provide technical expertise and advise the business regarding fund structures and processes.
- Owner of all Fund Documentation including PPMs, LPAs, etc.
- Presentation of fund initiatives to internal governance forums or Fund boards as required.
- Monitoring regulatory impacts on funds and determining appropriate actions.
- Liaise with legal counsel and other stakeholders on fund matters.
- Develop and maintain market and segment expertise to assist decision making and execution.
What you need to have:
- Strong demonstrable experience within a Product Development/Product Management function of an Asset Management firm specialising in private markets.
- Relevant practical experience in product structuring and fund formation for private markets funds.
- Comprehensive knowledge of private markets fund structures, specifically closed-ended, evergreen and semi-liquid strategies such as LTAFs and ELTIFs.
- An in-depth understanding of current regulatory changes and issues impacting the industry.
- Attention to detail with the ability to prioritise and navigate multiple teams and deliverables.
- Strong collaborative track record, stakeholder management and communication skills.
