As the Product Development Engineer, you will lead assigned hardware products from concept through launch, driving design, testing, validation, and progression through a Stage Gate process. This role requires strong organization, proactive issue management, and ownership of deliverables to ensure successful product releases.
Key Responsibilities
• New Product Development Ownership
• Drive assigned hardware products from concept through launch, leading requirements definition, planning, cross-functional execution, Stage Gate progression, risk mitigation, and release readiness activities.
• Maintain organized project documentation, issue tracking, and release readiness while driving issues to resolution through proactive ownership and timely communication.
• Develop, document, and optimize processes for hardware testing, release management, and product implementation.
• Provide technical support during product rollout and implementation, ensuring smooth integration and client satisfaction.
Team Leadership & Coordination
• Work cross-functionally with hardware and software development teams, suppliers, depot operations, support teams, and leadership to track progress, communicate status, and ensure successful product execution and launch.
• Organize and track action items, ensuring timely completion.
• Ensure alignment between hardware design and product roadmap.
Hardware Testing & Validation
• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for hardware components.
• Perform functional, performance, and reliability testing on prototypes and pre-production units.
• Analyze test results, identify issues, and collaborate with engineering teams to resolve them.
Documentation & Reporting
• Maintain detailed documentation of test procedures, results, and corrective actions.
• Prepare reports and present findings to stakeholders.
• Contribute to knowledge base for future product iterations.

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field; 3-5 years of experience in product
development, hardware engineering, or technical product validation.
• Experience with Stage Gate product development processes, and/or new product introduction (NPI).
• Strong technical understanding of hardware systems, development processes, troubleshooting, root
cause analysis, and hardware/software integration.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment,
while maintaining strong attention to detail and effective cross-functional collaboration.
• Strong ownership, accountability, communication, and organizational skills, with a proven ability to
drive assigned products and deliverables to successful completion.
• Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
