About ENS Labs

Ethereum Name Service (ENS) is a decentralized, permissionless naming system built on the Ethereum blockchain that enables human-readable names (like "myname.eth") to be linked to standard Ethereum addresses and other distributed systems.

As one of the first protocols built on Ethereum, ENS has enabled over 3 million registered .eth names, and over another 20 million ENS names from teams such as Coinbase, Uniswap, and Linea, as well as integrations with hundreds of other apps, wallets, protocols, and browsers in the crypto ecosystem.

ENS Labs has been driving the core development of the ENS protocol since 2018. We created the ENS app, open-source libraries, and core smart contracts. We are on a mission to make crypto-powered experiences as easy and accessible as browsing the web. Join us as we build the next iteration of our protocol, ENSv2, and pioneer a more decentralized, flexible, and scalable ENS for the future.

About the Role

We're seeking a Product Designer to help shape the future of Web3 user experiences at ENS. You'll collaborate with engineers, product managers, and the community to create intuitive, engaging designs that enhance how users interact with ENS and blockchain apps.

Your work will directly impact the way users manage decentralized identities, own their names, and navigate the Web3 space. If you're passionate about Web3 and want to help build the decentralized internet, we’d love to hear from you.

What You’ll Do
  • Own end-to-end product design for ENS experiences

    • Lead design from early discovery and concepting through high-fidelity execution and launch.

    • Design flows, interfaces, and interactions that make complex Web3 concepts feel clear and approachable.

  • Partner deeply with Product and Engineering

    • Collaborate closely with product managers and engineers to define requirements, explore tradeoffs, and ship high-quality solutions.

    • Translate technical constraints and protocol mechanics into thoughtful UX decisions.

  • Design for multiple audiences

    • Craft intuitive experiences for end users managing names and identity.

    • Design powerful, information-dense interfaces for developers and power users working with ENS data and tools.

  • Ground design decisions in user insight

    • Conduct and synthesize user research, usability testing, analytics, and experimentation.

    • Advocate for the user while balancing protocol realities and long-term product strategy.

  • Communicate and advocate for design

    • Clearly present design concepts, rationale, and tradeoffs to cross-functional partners and leadership.

    • Incorporate feedback while maintaining a strong point of view.

  • Raise the design bar at ENS

    • Help define and evolve design guidelines, patterns, and best practices across ENS products.

    • Stay current on industry trends and bring relevant ideas into the team — especially where Web2 UX patterns meet Web3 constraints.

Who You Are
  • Product design experience: ~3+ years designing user-facing digital products, ideally in complex or technical domains.

  • Strong craft and systems thinking: Deep understanding of UX, UI, interaction design, and visual hierarchy, with a portfolio that shows thoughtful problem-solving.

  • Collaborative and autonomous: Comfortable owning design problems end-to-end while working closely with cross-functional partners.

  • Clear communicator: Able to articulate design decisions, give and receive feedback, and advocate for users.

  • Technical curiosity: Interest in understanding how things work under the hood, especially in blockchain or developer-centric products.

  • Web3-native mindset: Familiar with blockchain concepts and excited about decentralized identity, open standards, and the future of the internet.

It’s a Bonus If You Have
  • Experience designing design systems or working within established component libraries.

  • Familiarity with Ethereum, ENS, wallets, NFTs, or decentralized identity.

  • Experience designing for developer tools or data-heavy interfaces.

  • Motion design or interaction animation experience.

  • Strong knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design practices.

  • Participation in Web3, open-source, or online technical communities.

ENS Labs is an equal-opportunity employer. We value diversity and are committed to fostering an inclusive, supportive environment for all team members. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and experiences.
