About the Role
We are seeking a Product Designer to join Regenesis Labs team and own the product design, UX and UI for our mobile and VR experiences. This role focuses on designing delightful and intuitive experiences and interfaces from scratch to multiply the reach of Decentraland across the globe.

Decentraland is an open protocol that can be accessed through multiple clients—the reference client is developed by the Decentraland Foundation, while these new implementations are community-funded and built with open-source technologies. In this role, you’ll work daily with Product and Engineering to design mobile and VR experiences for the new Decentraland clients applying your skillset in product design and user research. This is a unique opportunity to define how users will engage with Decentraland beyond their computers.

As a fully remote position, we’re hiring candidates based between GMT -3 and GMT +1 (LATAM to Western Europe)

Key Responsibilities

  • Own UX and UI design across Mobile and VR applications.
  • Team up with product management and engineering to define the product and it’s features from scratch
  • Understand target user needs and pain points to deliver solutions to address them.
  • Conduct user research interviews, surveys and usability testing.
  • Design user journeys, wireframes, and prototypes to create seamless and intuitive experiences.
  • Develop high-quality designs and visual assets for mobile and VR interfaces.
  • Build and maintain a cohesive design system, including UI components, style guides, and documentation, to ensure consistency across all platforms and projects.
  • Work closely with developers to ensure successful implementation of designs.

What you'll bring to the role

  • 4+ years of experience as a Product Designer.
  • 2+ years of experience designing UX/UI for mobile games.
  • Strong UX/UI design and User Research skills.
  • Figma expertise for wireframing and prototyping.
  • Based between GMT -3 and GMT +1 (LATAM to Western Europe)
  • Ability to create responsive, user-friendly and visually appealing designs.
  • Ability and curiosity to analyze qualitative and quantitative data to better understand user behavior.
  • Solid teamwork and communication skills, ability to collaborate across disciplines.
  • Curiosity and Creative problem-solving skills, with a passion for improving user experiences.

It's a plus if you bring...

  • Familiarity with Decentraland’s ecosystem or with other UGC platforms.
  • Experience in Web3 or blockchain.
  • A gamer at heart, with knowledge of game design and game mechanics.
  • Familiarity with Game Engines (Unity, Godot, Unreal) and it’s UI tools.
  • 3D Modelling knowledge.
