Our Company:

LendingTree was founded in 1996 by CEO Doug Lebda to help people comparison shop and get a great deal on the single biggest transaction of their lives: their mortgage. Since then, we’ve facilitated over 65 million loan requests, while becoming a household name (our brand recognition rivals Bank of America and Wells Fargo).  Today we do much more than mortgages. We are the #1 online marketplace in the US for consumers to comparison shop for mortgages, personal loans, credit cards, student loans, auto loans and insurance. We have established relationships with millions of customers who engage with us through our My LendingTree portal, giving them access to free credit scores and money saving alerts. We are on a mission to help consumers save money and better their lives.
We’re publicly traded (TREE), we’re financially sound and we’re in the top 10 of Fortune’s 100 Fastest Growing Companies. If you’re looking for an opportunity with a dynamic company that is fanatically pro-consumer and that champions your entrepreneurial spirit, then you’ve come to the right place!

The Position:

We’re seeking a Content Designer to shape the voice and tone of our user experiences at LendingTree. This role entails working closely with UI designers, product managers, engineers and compliance teams to create and refine content that not only resonates with our users but also adheres to industry standards and best practices. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design engaging and intuitive user experiences, ensuring content aligns with our tone, user needs, product goals, and regulatory requirements
  • Participate in the product discovery process to identify content needs, define content strategy, and create content that enhances user experience
  • Engage in user research and usability testing to understand user responses to content, iterating based on feedback to improve clarity and engagement
  • Understand business priorities together with user needs to create impactful experiences
  • Work closely with product designers in Figma
  • Maintain a consistent tone of voice for the LendingTree brand and adhere to copy guidelines
  • Participate in review sessions, offering constructive feedback to peers while also effectively presenting your projects to the design and content teams

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • Has 3+ years of professional writing experience
  • Has a strong portfolio that demonstrates diverse UX content design skills
  • Has strong product writing experience and experience collaborating in Figma
  • Has excellent interpersonal skills and significant experience working cross functionally – should be able to collaborate closely with Marketing, Product and Design peers as a key creative partner
  • Can understand business objectives and proactively contribute strategic ideas
  • Can work in a fast-paced team environment and juggle multiple projects at once
  • Incorporates feedback from a diverse set of stakeholders with professionalism and flexibility and prioritizes a collaborative design process
  • Is detail-oriented and organized
  • Has experience writing for financial brands (a plus)

Professional Knowledge:

  • Strong customer research and interview experience
  • Ability to map out user flows
  • Experience in Figma required
  • Experience working with Compliance and Development teams
  • Knowledge of accessibility rules and principles (a plus)

Our Culture:

Our clothes are casual and relaxed, and our work ethic is highly professional. It is our culture for each team member to challenge the status quo, express their opinions, and to stand up, ask for the ball and run with it to meet our aggressive goals. We also have a lot of fun together! We’re always looking for the best, brightest, high energy, results-driven Rock Stars to join our team. We reward innovation, creativity and the ability to just GET STUFF DONE.
