Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with suppliers to develop and implement lean manufacturing principles, ensuring alignment with GE Aerospace’s SQDC priorities, with Safety as the top priority.
- Support supplier engagement initiatives to build capabilities in lean practices, including continuous improvement, standard work, and problem-solving techniques.
- Support the facilitation of workshops and training sessions to educate suppliers on lean tools and methodologies, fostering a culture of operational excellence.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process optimization and waste reduction within the supply chain.
- Act as a liaison between GE Aerospace and suppliers to ensure alignment with FLIGHT DECK principles and strategic objectives.
- Drive the adoption of lean tools to support supplier development, capacity and capability building.
- Build supplier relationships and effectively operate as a trusted advisor to key supplier stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with all safety standards and regulations, promoting a culture of safety across the supply base.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree accredited college or university (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, operations supply chain)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Manufacturing, Operations and /or Training
- Willing to travel 50% to 75%.
Desired Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in lean leader role supporting kaizen events for value stream mapping, HK planning, 5S, Daily Management, SMED, TPM, Goal Deployment, Pull System, Standard Work, and Visual Management.
- Proven experience in lean manufacturing, operational management on the shop floor and transactional environments.
- Commitment to being coachable and learning the application and facilitation of lean tools and methodologies.
