The Procurement Manager is responsible for driving cost-effective purchasing strategies, optimizing supplier relationships, and ensuring operational efficiency across the procurement lifecycle. This role focuses on software and networking procurement, evaluating technology vendors, negotiating complex contracts, and managing supply chain risks to support business continuity and compliance. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills to deliver strategic sourcing initiatives and measurable cost savings while maintaining the highest quality standards.
Core Responsibilities
  • Identify, evaluate, and manage suppliers to ensure optimal value, quality, and reliability.
  • Demonstrate a structured sourcing process mindset - effectively profile categories, assess pricing models, manage RFx and vendor evaluations, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Negotiate, draft, and manage vendor contracts in compliance with company policies and legal standards.
  • Lead contract and pricing negotiations to achieve favorable terms and mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Manage multiple vendor engagements concurrently, ensuring alignment of commercial terms, timely renewals, and tracking of SLAs, particularly for software and networking suppliers.
  • Develop and implement cost-reduction strategies without compromising quality or delivery timelines.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, resolving disputes and performance issues effectively.
  • Proactively engage internal stakeholders (e.g., IT, Finance, Legal, and Support) to align sourcing outcomes with business objectives, communicate clearly, escalate appropriately, and foster trust.
  • Monitor market trends, pricing, and industry developments to inform procurement strategies.
  • Streamline and improve procurement workflows, systems, and policies to enhance efficiency and transparency.
  • Assess and mitigate supply chain risks to ensure consistent business operations.
  • Analyze procurement data to deliver actionable insights and support strategic decision-making.

Skills and Experience
  • 5-8 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management, preferably within software or networking categories.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management expertise.
  • Deep understanding of software lifecycle management, licensing models (SaaS vs. on-prem), vendor risk, and innovation.
  • Experience managing technology and network vendors, including familiarity with renewal cycles, SLAs, and commercial negotiations.
  • Growth and learning orientation - eager to explore new technology categories and adapt quickly to evolving procurement systems and tools.
  • Proficiency with procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Analytical mindset with proven problem-solving abilities.
  • Professional certification (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) is a plus but not required.
