Job Responsibilities
- Assist senior team members in the sourcing, underwriting, and monitoring of private investment funds (and direct co-investments, to a lesser extent).
- Attend meetings with prospective and existing fund managers.
- Build specific knowledge of private markets and actively follow ongoing trends.
- Complete rigorous investment analysis, including assessment of prior track record, operational metrics, cash flows, and value creation.
- Create detailed investment collateral for internal and / use, including investment committee presentations.
- Closely monitor and document post-investment updates, including manager update calls and client reporting.
- Be able to travel for work on a limited basis (up to ~2-3 times per year).
Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities
- 1 year and not more than 2 years in investment banking, investment due diligence, portfolio management, or a similar investment role.
- Excellent quantitative skills, including understanding of basic corporate finance concepts.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including representing JPMorgan in internal/external meetings.
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to think critically, problem-solve, and learn new concepts.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to maintain discretion working with highly confidential information.
