Description

At Northrop Grumman, our employees have incredible opportunities to work on revolutionary systems that impact people's lives around the world today, and for generations to come. Our pioneering and inventive spirit has enabled us to be at the forefront of many technological advancements in our nation's history - from the first flight across the Atlantic Ocean, to stealth bombers, to landing on the moon. We look for people who have bold new ideas, courage and a pioneering spirit to join forces to invent the future, and have fun along the way. Our culture thrives on intellectual curiosity, cognitive diversity and bringing your whole self to work — and we have an insatiable drive to do what others think is impossible. Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.

Are you interested in exploring a career on the cutting edge of next generation circuit design? You'll leverage your current experience and join our team of scientists and engineers in design of integrated circuits for emerging applications in low temperature environments. You’ll work in a fast-paced team environment alongside a broad array of scientists and engineers to make these design solutions a reality.

The Microelectronics Designs and Applications (MDA) Business Area (BA) of Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is seeking motivated and experienced design enablement DevOps engineers with demonstrated ability to lead development of new technologies to support our innovative MDA team in development of design enablement software in support of emerging supercomputing technologies.

Selected candidates will support a team of engineers and scientists in design, modeling, and simulation of advanced RF MMICs (Multimode Integrated Circuits) for advanced computing applications. This role provides an opportunity to broaden one’s skillset and develop an understanding of diverse topics inside and outside of DevOps or even software.

Responsibilities

Design, deploy, and maintain DevOps workflows supporting a multidisciplinary team across multiple development, test, and production environments. Spearhead the development, testing, maintenance, and debugging of CI/CD pipelines interfacing with commercial software to enable improved quality control practices for user developed code. Grow DevOps awareness within a highly technical community and improve adoption of good code practices through mentoring and advocacy.

The Commercial-Off-the-Shelf (COTS) software we aim to create pipelines for currently are Ansys EM and Cadence Virtuoso. A successful applicant will be expected to learn from resident subject matter experts to acquire the domain knowledge needed to work with the tools. Extremely well qualified applicants may have additional applied experience in data analysis and visualization with applications in ASIC/Chip manufacturing and test.

All job functions require close teamwork across functional disciplines and integrated product teams in a fast-paced environment.
