About the Role:

Hims & Hers is the leading health and wellness platform, on a mission to help the world feel great through the power of better health. We are seeking a seasoned Principal Technology Optimization Manager to act as a critical bridge between our business operations and our engineering teams. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of both business strategy and the technology portfolio, with a proven ability to partner with engineering to solve complex, high-impact problems.

In this role, you will be responsible for translating business needs into technical strategy and overseeing the technology portfolio to ensure it aligns with and drives company goals. You will guide teams to deliver robust, scalable solutions that enhance our platform and advance our mission to revolutionize personalized healthcare.

You Will:
  • Drive Technology Strategy: Partner with business leaders to understand operational needs and define a technology roadmap that aligns with strategic objectives and delivers measurable value.

  • Lead Complex Problem-Solving: Serve as the key liaison between business stakeholders and engineering, deconstructing complex business challenges and collaborating with technical teams to design and implement innovative solutions.

  • Oversee Technology Portfolio: Manage and optimize the company's portfolio of technologies and applications, ensuring they meet current needs and are scalable for future growth.

  • Foster Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with engineering, data science, product, and design teams to guide technology initiatives from conception to successful launch and iteration.

  • Champion Data-Driven Decisions: Promote a culture of data-driven decision-making, leveraging analysis and key metrics to identify opportunities, evaluate performance, and guide technology investments.

  • Mentor and Guide: Provide thought leadership and mentorship on technical and business best practices, helping to elevate the capabilities of the teams you work with.

  • Ensure Ethical & Responsible Innovation: Lead discussions and implement frameworks for the ethical and responsible application of technology across the organization.

You Have:
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.

  • 8-10+ years of experience in technology strategy, technical program management, solutions architecture, or a similar role.

  • Deep expertise in both business operations and technology management, with a demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

  • Proven track record of working with engineering teams to solve complex problems and deliver large-scale technology projects.

  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to break down ambiguous problems into clear, manageable plans.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and align stakeholders at all levels, from individual engineers to senior executives.

  • A deep passion for leveraging technology to improve healthcare outcomes and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
