Who we are
With its A.I.-powered robotic technology platform, Symbotic is changing the way consumer goods move through the supply chain. Intelligent software orchestrates advanced robots in a high-density, end-to-end system – reinventing warehouse automation for increased efficiency, speed and flexibility.
What we need
GreenBox is building the next generation of automated fulfillment centers — scalable, modular, and intelligent by design. The Principal Solutions Architect will play a key role in turning this vision into reality. This is a hands-on leadership role that blends technical depth with cross-functional execution. In this role you will lead the design, testing, and implementation of automation systems across multiple process paths — from pallet to each-pick — ensuring every design is validated and ready to scale across sites.
What we do
GreenBox is pioneering warehousing-as-a-service, offering outsourced warehousing operations and specializing in automated warehousing solutions. Our focus is on the efficient movement of goods in cases and pallets across all sectors, such as wholesale, retail, and general merchandising.
*GreenBox is an independently managed joint venture between Symbotic and Softbank.
What you’ll do
Lead design and validation of end-to-end automation solutions across pallet, case, and each-pick process paths.
Translate GreenBox’s Concept of Operations (ConOps) into modular, repeatable designs deployable across facilities.
Drive build–test–prove cycles for facility launches; own UAT, performance validation, and design iteration.
Partner with Software, Industrial Engineering, and Operations to ensure seamless WMS/WES/WCS integration and readiness.
Collaborate with vendors and system partners to influence product roadmaps and integrate best-fit technologies.
Establish design standards, performance metrics, and change control processes for consistent implementation.
Build and mentor a small, high-performing engineering team focused on technical excellence and speed of execution.
Conduct risk assessments and mitigation planning for automation design, throughput, and scalability.
Support cross-functional initiatives that enhance overall system reliability, flexibility, and efficiency.
What you’ll need
Minimum 10 years of experience in warehouse automation, robotics integration, or advanced manufacturing system design.
Proven record of hands-on engineering execution in large-scale fulfillment or automation programs.
Deep understanding of material handling systems, AS/RS, palletizing, AMR/AGV technologies, and system orchestration.
Experience leading end-to-end design, validation, and vendor integration processes.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project execution skills.
Ability to lead cross-functional teams while remaining technically engaged in design and implementation.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
