Serve as the primary technical expert for Red Hat’s portfolio (OpenShift, RHEL, Ansible, Advanced Cluster Management, etc.) for clients. Lead architectural discussions with CTOs, Engineering VPs, and DevOps teams to design scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions using Red Hat technologies.

What You Will Do:
- Develop customized reference architectures for hybrid cloud, AI/ML workload, large-scale microservices, and cloud-native platforms.
- Conduct deep-dive technical workshops, whiteboarding sessions, and proof-of-concepts (POCs) to demonstrate Red Hat’s value proposition. Build trusted advisor relationships with key stakeholders (Engineering, DevOps, SRE, Cloud Architects).
- Understand customer pain points (e.g., AI infrastructure scaling, Kubernetes at scale, multi-cloud management) and align Red Hat solutions to their business goals.
- Drive digital transformation initiatives by advocating for opensource, DevOps, GitOps, and cloud-native best practices. Identify, qualify, and close large-scale sales opportunities.
- Provide technical pre-sales support, including Request for Proposal and Request for Enhancement responses, solution demos, and competitive differentiation. Present executive-level technical briefings to C-suite leaders on Red Hat’s vision and roadmap.
- Work with Red Hat Consulting & Professional Services to ensure smooth handoffs and guide implementation.
- Track and influence customer adoption, expansion, and renewal strategies for Red Hat subscriptions.
- Represent Red Hat at industry events, conferences, and meetups (KubeCon, Red Hat Summit, AWS re: Invent). Stay ahead of emerging trends (AI/ML, Edge Computing, Serverless, Confidential Computing) and advise customers on Red Hat’s innovation roadmap.
- Collaborate with Product Engineering and Partners (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) to integrate cutting-edge solutions.
- Analyze competitive landscapes (VMware, SUSE, OpenStack, proprietary cloud solutions) and position Red Hat’s advantages.
- Provide customer feedback to Red Hat’s Product teams to shape future releases.
What You Will Bring:
- Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science or related field and ten (10) years of experience in the job offered or related role.
- Must have ten (10) years of experience with: Open Source and Enterprise Software Architecture; designing and implementing complex enterprise solutions through consultancy with customers; and programming languages related to Red Hat technologies.
- Must have six (6) years of experience with: presenting technical solutions to both technical and c-level/executive non-technical stakeholders; and Linux-based systems and infrastructure.
- Must have five (5) years of customer-facing sales experience, including pre-sales or solutions architecture.
- Must have five (5) years of experience with: Red Hat Middleware portfolio; hybrid or multi-cloud infrastructures; container orchestration tools, including Kubernetes and OpenShift; enterprise networking, firewalls, and security best practices; automation and configuration management, including with Satellite, Ansible, and Terraform; deploying, managing, and optimizing Red Hat OpenStack Platform (RHOSP) in enterprise environments, to deliver scalable, secure cloud infrastructure solutions; and working with cloud and infrastructure solutions for design, deployment, configuration, and maintenance.
- Must have three (3) years of experience leading technical teams or mentoring architects.
- Must have one (1) active Red Hat certification and one (1) active Cloud Provider certification.
- Domestic travel required up to 30% of the time to conferences and client sites. Travel expenses covered by Red Hat, Inc.

The base salary range for this position is $126,818 - $155,625. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.
Pay Transparency
Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
