About The Role

Sanas is hiring a Principal Software Engineer to own the technical direction for real-time streaming and inference systems across our product suite (live language translation, noise cancellation, accent translation) and the internal platforms that power them. You will set architecture for low-latency, high-concurrency audio pipelines; lead the design of developer and experimentation platforms, and own the training infrastructure that supports model iteration and deployment.

You will have the opportunity to make a significant, organization-wide impact by:

  • Owning end-to-end system outcomes: latency and quality SLOs, scalability, reliability, and cost. You will mentor and unblock senior engineers, drive cross-team technical decisions, and deliver production systems that operate predictably at scale.
  • Lead the system architecture and define the long-term product vision.
  • Setting the technical direction, and resolving challenges for Sanas’ real-time audio and inference platforms and products.


Qualifications

  • 8+ years of Software Engineering experience.
  • Strong expertise in Distributed systems and related technologies.
  • Ability to foster strong engineering principles, industry best practices across the team.
  • Strong communication skills with ability to drive large scope projects by working cross-functionally across Engineering, AI, Product, and Business stakeholders.
  • Ability to Design and Implement large scale microservice architecture.
  • Strong proficiency in Python or Go; async/concurrency, profiling, and memory/GC tuning.
  • Experience working with AWS (preferred), GCP or Azure, EKS / Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with capacity planning, vendor selection and ML training/inference infrastructure forecasting.
  • Familiarity with batch & real-time streaming protocols like gRPC/protobuf, websockets etc. 
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with real-time streaming protocols like WebRTC and SIP/SRTP.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with distributed ML training and inference.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related fields.
