What is The Role

We're looking to add a new node to our cluster, focusing on educating and inspiring developers to build on Elasticsearch. This PMM will be able to communicate and create content for very technical audiences, including messaging and positioning, campaign support, and field enablement. You will work closely with Elastic product managers, engineers, sales, and partners across marketing. You’ll need to become comfortable with the technical aspects of Elastic’s products and solutions, the markets they play in, as well as, the creative aspects of positioning technology through messaging and narratives that are compelling, authentic, and differentiated!

What You Will Be Doing
  • Act as a technical product marketing lead for Search and AI, and own the strategy to drive awareness and market penetration of key capabilities
  • Serve as an internal authority on the developer persona.
  • Craft compelling, technical and differentiated outbound product messaging and content (like blogs, videos, tutorials, web pages, webinars that resonate with developers)
  • Enable the field on our solutions, through training and content
  • Build and implement plans to reach and champion relationships with our developer and technology partner ecosystem.
  • Plan and implement product launches (with operational marketing teams), including creating launch materials and content to support and coordinate with team members
  • Build a positive partnership with peers in Product Management, Engineering and Community to effectively launch new features and products and engage with users
  • Attend and present at Elastic events, third party trade shows and other events to help showcase our products to technical audiences.
What You Bring
  • 7-10 years of experience in product marketing for technical products.
  • Proven track record of effectively marketing technical to developers or technical practitioners.
  • Curiosity about the “how” of technology to tell compelling content about the “why”
  • Ability to work in a very cross functional role, with a highly distributed team
  • Excellent and concise writing skills targeted at developers
  • Be a spokesperson for product capabilities and Elastic at large for internal and external audiences - including webinars, trainings, and analyst briefings
  • Direct experience with developers, and audiences that build applications
  • Product marketing experience with technical SaaS or infrastructure products
  • Experience crafting engaging content for developers, including blog posts, decks, videos, and more
  • Comfortable driving cross-functional teams and initiatives
  • Familiarity with Elasticsearch, Elastic Platform or our solutions
