Guidewire is seeking an experienced and strategic Principal Product Manager to lead key aspects of our product operations and strategy. This role combines traditional product management responsibilities—driving lifecycle management, roadmap execution, and stakeholder alignment—with operational leadership spanning vendor management, agile delivery, and regulatory compliance.
You will collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, legal, finance, and product teams to ensure Guidewire products meet the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and compliance while aligning to long-term business objectives.
Job Description
ResponsibilitiesAct as a bridge between strategy and execution—translating business priorities into actionable plans.
Drive operational excellence through continuous improvements in product and release processes.
Oversee product lifecycle management: vision, roadmap, launch, and iteration.
Lead vendor management efforts, including selection, contract reviews, and performance tracking.
Oversee agile ceremonies and ensure high delivery cadence as a project manager or scrum master.
Conduct ongoing market and competitive research to inform product strategy and positioning.
Partner with regulatory and legal teams to ensure compliance with evolving industry standards.
Collaborate with finance and operations teams on budgeting, resourcing, and performance metrics.
Mentor junior PMs and contribute to the broader product management community at Guidewire.
5+ years of product management experience in SaaS or enterprise software, ideally in insurance or fintech.
Proven track record of managing complex products across the full lifecycle.
Experience driving operational projects and managing external vendors or partners.
Familiarity with agile project management frameworks (Scrum, Kanban)
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
MBA or advanced technical degree preferred but not required.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000 - $214,000 . Your base pay will depend on your experience, skills, education, training, and location among other factors. All full-time positions or part-time roles working 30 hours or more a week at Guidewire are eligible for benefits that support their health and well-being including health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and a company sponsored retirement plan. In addition, some roles may be eligible for the annual company bonus plan, commissions, and/or long term incentive awards which are contingent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, company and employee performance.Disability Accommodations and Guidewire’s Appeals Process.
