We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled IC Layout Design Engineer to join our IC design team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the physical layout of integrated circuits from initial floorplanning to final tape-out, ensuring designs meet all performance, power, area, and reliability targets. This role requires a strong understanding of semiconductor device physics, advanced process technologies, and a keen eye for detail.

What you will be responsible for:

• Perform physical layout of complex analog / mixed-signal circuits, adhering to design specifications and foundry design rules (DRC/LVS).
• Collaborate closely with circuit design engineers to understand design requirements, optimize layout for performance, power, and area, and provide feedback on layout-related issues.
• Conduct detailed floorplanning and pin planning to optimize interconnects, minimize parasitics, and ensure efficient signal flow.
• Implement critical analog matching, shielding, and guarding techniques to mitigate noise and improve circuit performance.
• Utilize advanced layout techniques for minimizing electromigration (EM), IR drop, and latch-up concerns.
• Perform comprehensive design rule checking (DRC), layout versus schematic (LVS), and parasitic extraction (PEX) using industry-standard EDA tools.
• Analyze extracted parasitics and provide feedback to circuit designers for design optimization.
• Generate and verify GDSII files for tape-out, ensuring all necessary layers and information are included.
• Develop and maintain layout methodologies, scripts, and documentation to improve efficiency and quality.
• Participate in design reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of the design process.
• Stay up to date with the latest IC layout tools, technologies, and methodologies.

How you will stand out:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in IC layout design, with a focus on Analog / Mixed-Signal circuits.
• Proficiency with industry-standard EDA tools such as Cadence Virtuoso and Synopsys Custom Compiler.
• Strong understanding of semiconductor physics, CMOS fabrication processes, and advanced process nodes (e.g., 7nm and below)
• In-depth knowledge of layout techniques for minimizing parasitics, noise, and ensuring robust circuit operation.
• Experience with DRC, LVS, and PEX verification methodologies.
• Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Perl, Python, Skill) for automation and productivity enhancement.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with high-speed SerDes, PLLs, ADCs/DACs, RF transceivers, power management units.
• Familiarity with reliability concepts such as electromigration, ESD, and latch-up prevention.
• Experience with FinFET or other advanced transistor architectures.
• Knowledge of automation flow development and maintenance.
