Job Summary
As a Principal Enterprise Strategist (PES) within CDW's ITS/DV organization, you serve as a senior, enterprise-level strategic advisor for CDW's most complex and impactful customer engagements. You are a trusted partner to executive customers and sales leadership, responsible for shaping multi-practice strategies that connect business priorities to integrated technology outcomes. The Principal Enterprise Strategist operates as a cross-practice quarterback, guiding complex initiatives that span cloud, data, security, digital experience, and infrastructure services and solutions. You elevate executive conversations, strengthen account strategies, and ensure solutions are cohesive, differentiated, and outcome-driven. This role plays a critical leadership position across strategy, deal shaping, and execution alignment. You work closely with sellers, Enterprise Solution Executives, Solution Architects, delivery leaders, and practice teams to drive larger, more strategic opportunities while reducing friction and accelerating decision-making. In addition, you provide thought leadership and mentorship across the Enterprise Strategist community, helping scale best practices and operating standards across the organization.
What you will do:
* Serve as a senior strategic advisor to customers, aligning business priorities with integrated, multi-practice technology strategies that deliver measurable outcomes.
* Act as the cross-practice quarterback for complex opportunities, coordinating Cloud, Data & AI, Security, Digital Experience, Infrastructure, and Services into a unified solution strategy.
* Partner closely with sellers and Enterprise Solution Executives to shape large, strategic deals, strengthen account plans, and identify cross-practice whitespace.
* Lead and facilitate executive-level conversations, helping customers connect business objectives to technology roadmaps and make confident, informed decisions.
* Stay engaged across the full lifecycle of major initiatives, from early discovery and strategy through solution design and execution alignment.
* Guide the development of integrated SOWs, demos, and solution architectures, reducing friction and ensuring consistency across practices.
* Help quantify value by aligning solutions to business impact, financial outcomes, and ROI, supporting stronger differentiation and win rates.
* Provide mentorship and leadership to Enterprise Strategists and presales teams, reinforcing operating standards, role clarity, and best practices.
* Contribute to thought leadership, internal enablement, and continuous improvement of the Enterprise Strategist operating model and tools.
* Represent Digital Velocity in internal forums and customer-facing engagements as a senior, trusted leader.
What we expect of you:
* Bachelor's degree and 10+ years delivering, architecting, consulting on, or selling complex, multi-practice technology solutions across enterprise environments; or 14+ years of equivalent experience.
* Proven ability to lead complex, strategic engagements, aligning business objectives with technology solutions across multiple practices.
* Demonstrated success partnering with senior sales leaders and executive customers, building trust and driving strategic outcomes.
* Strong understanding of enterprise architectures, transformation initiatives, and modern IT operating models, with the ability to simplify complexity.
* Exceptional communication and executive presence, with the ability to facilitate high-impact conversations and influence decision-making.
* Track record of improving deal quality, win rates, and deal velocity through integrated strategy and execution alignment.
* Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, matrixed environments, balancing multiple stakeholders and priorities.
* Passion for mentorship, collaboration, and continuous improvement, with a mindset focused on scaling impact beyond individual engagements.
