EchoStar has an exciting opportunity for a Principal Engineer II - Software in our Hughes Network Systems division. This position will be located at headquarters in Germantown, MD.
Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, document and analyze modules or features of new or upgraded software systems, applications and new products.
• Develop and execute implementation according to project plans and priorities.
• Code, edit, document and debug of software based upon internal and customer requirements.
• Production Billing Support of Oracle BRM, applications in Google Cloud Platform and APIGIEE APIs.
• Participate in the full lifecycle of software development.
• Perform system and unit design according to technical requirements. Ensure that all the processes and methodologies are followed.
• Troubleshoot and support Applications in test and production environments.
• Research new application frameworks and suggest improvements to the application portfolio.

Basic Requirements:
Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronic Engineering, or a closely related technical field plus 10 years of experience in job offered or Computer Systems Analyst or similar roles.
Must have 5 years of experience in each of the following:

• Java, Node.js, Springboot, J2EE, Oracle PL/SQL, and MongoDB
• OSS/BSS
• Jmeter and Junit
• ESB and Kafka
• Git or Bitbucket
• Oracle BRM and JAVA

Must have 2 years of experience in each of the following:

• GCP application development and support
• APIGEE API development and support.

Will be eligible for discretionary bonus, with funding based on company performance.

Compensation Range
Annual Salary: $173,763.00 - $173,763.00
