Job Description:
What You'll Do
Collaborates with business leaders and subject matter experts (such as Remediation & Restitution business partners, Risk and Compliance, Analytics, and 3rd party vendors) to drive execution of the Discover-defined Counterparty Remediation Plan (CRP) and deliverables. Owns, in coordination with business partners and subject matter experts, the execution of the CRP workplan, including completion of all milestones and development & memorialization of related artifacts. Takes full ownership of resolution or blockers and successful completion of the CRP. Manages processes related to CRP, including governance, exceptions, and issues. Has experience with the payments market landscape, conducting analysis, communicating, managing, and leading execution of major remediation and restitution efforts, including the ability to proactively identify issues, risks, and challenges, develop mitigation strategies, and effectively engage stakeholders for solutioning.
How You'll Do It

  • Coordinates and supports problem-solving with cross-functional teams and external third-party administrator to manage the development & execution for CRP.
  • Works on problems and projects of diverse scope related to advancing & executing CRP program.
  • Writes presentation materials and reporting (and/or analytics) to various stakeholders including executive management, the Office of Remediation, and other internal and external stakeholders to manage and monitor the counterparty remediation plan.
  • Leads coordination and/or creation of artifacts and responses for various internal and external stakeholders, including auditors and regulators as well as tracking process execution.
  • Conducts and /or interprets analysis on components of CRP strategy.


Qualifications You'll Need
The Basics

  • Bachelors Business Administration and Management, Finance or related
  • 6+ years Restitution/remediation, M&A, investment banking, business development or optimization, business analysis, consulting, risk management, finance, pricing, or related
  • 2+ years Payments, financial services, or related
  • In lieu of degree 8+ years Restitution/remediation, M&A, investment banking, business development or optimization, business analysis, consulting, risk management, finance, pricing, or related
  • In lieu of degree 2+ years Payments, financial services, or related

Compensation:
The base pay for this position generally ranges between $91,000.00 to $153,400.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
