The Corporate FP&A team at Blackbaud plays a critical role in guiding company-wide financial planning, enabling strategic decision-making, and scaling financial processes to support our mission-driven growth. As a Principal Corporate Financial Analyst, you will lead initiatives that modernize and automate our planning infrastructure, enhance balance sheet and cash flow forecasting, and reduce manual reporting efforts—freeing up time for strategic analysis and insight generation.

This is a high-impact role ideal for a finance professional who thrives at the intersection of technology, strategy, and financial analysis.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead enhancements to 3-statement financial planning, leveraging our current Hyperion Planning and Workday/Adaptive Planning systems while shaping the roadmap for next-generation planning tools.

  • Champion automation across FP&A using technologies such as Power BI, Alteryx, and AI-driven tools to streamline reporting and forecasting.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, IT, Treasury, and Accounting to evaluate and potentially implement a new financial planning system.

  • Provide strategic insights and data-driven analysis to inform revenue, profitability, and capital allocation decisions.

  • Influence short- and long-term planning by identifying risks and opportunities and aligning stakeholders on action plans to achieve financial goals.

  • Develop high-impact presentations and dashboards for the Executive Leadership Team and Board of Directors.

  • Conduct ad hoc strategic analysis in support of corporate development (M&A/divestitures) and investor relations initiatives.

What you’ll bring:

  • 6–8+ years of experience in FP&A, investment banking, corporate development, or strategic finance.

  • Deep expertise in financial modeling, valuation, and scenario planning.

  • A self-starter mindset with a passion for solving complex problems and driving continuous improvement.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate complex topics clearly to executive audiences.

  • Background in the SaaS or technology industry strongly preferred.

  • Experience in program or project management, particularly with financial system implementations, is a plus.

  • Familiarity with public company reporting cycles and quarterly close processes is preferred.
