DIRECTV is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to join the DIRECTV for Business Operations team to manage and execute roadmap (initiatives) in multiple platforms – DTV360 for Business (used by Direct Sales and CARE) and SARA Plus Ordering for Satellite and Stream. (Potential for additional platforms as they become available). The Sr Project Manager will develop, execute, and maintain customer, dealer, and company journey mapping, and pain point identification for acquisition and existing customers. Work efforts include but not limited to simplify and align our customer, agent, and dealer journeys to drive a consistent and easy purchasing and servicing experience, manage work intake from functional stakeholders across the channel / company and external partners, ensure leadership alignment on PI prioritization and back-log, execution of offers and capabilities delivery in partnership with IT and external partner (DSI), and budget management (as applicable). This is a business-driven technology role, and the ideal candidate will bring technology-enabled solution (medium to large) experience and has the desired business acumen to deliver key (KPI and IOP) results.
Depending on workload, Sr Project Management will assist in specific project needs.
Here's what you’ll do:
- Develop and maintain roadmap of requests / initiatives for each channel experience (e.g., indirect, sales/service centers, L&I) tracking roadmap interdependences across the organization.
- Execution of roadmap / projects (ETE PM) in partnership with IT, external partner(s), and cross-functional teams.
- End to End Project Management discipline – ideation, draft requirements with cross functional inputs, develop best solution (for the business) with IT/DSI/SARA Plus, conduct testing, manage actions/deliverables/risk assessments, support Go-To-Market plan, and monitor post-production (for a period). Maintain standard project documentation.
- Define overall business goals for acquisition and CARE to achieve desired solutions to meet business needs and prioritize work efforts in collaboration with business partners and product teams.
- Drive acquisition and churn plans that achieve IOP targets, reduce overall average handle time, and remove friction and pain points in the purchasing or servicing experience.
- Setup Center of Excellence and governance for platform management (DTV 360 for Business & SARA Plus) such as establish intake process, prioritization, budget management (as applicable), and internal / external partner alignment.
- Validate the delivered solution / capabilities meets the strategic business objectives through activities such as user acceptance testing, demos, smoke testing, etc.
- Resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways, proactively recommend requirements and/or process improvements.
- Collaborate with internal Commercial Operations team members to ensure synergies across the various functions (e.g., Production Support, KTLO/Lifecycle, etc.).
- Manage external partner(s) (DSI/SARA Plus) relationships (e.g., host regular meetings to review roadmap, requirements, open issues, etc.) and work efforts to align with DIRECTV and IT milestones and due dates.
- Provide project updates to leadership that include progress, risks, issues, and mitigation recommendations. May be required to provide read out to senior leadership team.
What you’ll need to be successful:
- Undergraduate degree preferred, MBA a plus.
- 7 years of experience working within IT, Operational, Product, or Customer Experience orientated roles.
- Advanced project management experience required.
- Call Center sales and/or operational experience required.
- Experience with journey and capability mapping required.
- Experience writing Epics, Features, and User Stories required.
- Direct and Indirect sales and / or operational experience preferred.
- Scaled Agile certification and Jira Align experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of SAFe is highly preferred.

This role requires a minimum but is not limited to approximately 10% travel.

The Base Salary range displayed below reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for each of DIRECTV's 4 (four) US Labor Market Zones. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
DIRECTV WAGE ZONES: $105,830 - $192,050
Low (N1): $105,830 - $158,650
Mid (N2): $111,400 - $167,000
High (N3): $122,540 - $183,700
Top (N4): $128,110 - $192,050
