About the role
  • Own the strategic vision, roadmap, and business value realization for the Teamcenter Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) platform.

  • Act as the primary business representative and decision-maker for PLM capabilities, ensuring alignment with Dyson's engineering, product development, manufacturing, quality, and regulatory objectives.

  • Partner with engineering, RDD, manufacturing, procurement, quality, and digital technology teams to define and deliver PLM enhancements.

  • Champion standardisation and simplification, reducing process complexity and unnecessary system customisation.

  • Support major transformation initiatives, including Teamcenter upgrades, cloud adoption, integration programmes, and operating model changes.

  • Ensure effective integration between Teamcenter and adjacent business systems including CAD, ERP, MES, Requirements Management, and collaboration platforms.

  • Drive user adoption through effective change management, training, communication, and stakeholder engagement activities.

  • Maintain a strong focus on regulatory compliance, data integrity, governance, configuration control, and digital thread objectives.

About you
  • Deep understanding of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) principles, processes, and industry best practices.

  • Strong knowledge of Teamcenter capabilities, data models, workflows, change processes, and product structures.

  • Understanding of engineering product development lifecycles from concept through production and service.

  • Experience with configuration management, change control, BOM management, and design release processes.

  • Familiarity with CAD-to-PLM integration environments (e.g., NX, Creo, CATIA).

  • Strong ability to balance short-term operational needs with long-term platform strategy.

  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of cost, value, risk, and return on investment.

  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all organisational levels.

  • Ability to align global cross-functional teams around common objectives and outcomes.

  • Strong facilitation and workshop leadership capabilities.

  • Experience engaging senior leadership and presenting strategic recommendations.

  • Strong understanding of digital transformation programmes and organisational change management.

  • Ability to lead complex cross-functional initiatives spanning process, technology, and people.

  • Experience defining business cases, benefits realisation plans, and success measures.

  • Strong risk management and governance capabilities.

  • Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills.

  • Understanding of data governance, master data management, and digital thread concepts.

  • Ability to assess process efficiency and identify improvement opportunities.

  • Strategic thinker with strong business acumen.

  • Customer-focused mindset with an obsession for user value and adoption.

  • Highly collaborative and able to build trust across diverse functions.

  • Comfortable operating in complex, ambiguous, and rapidly evolving environments.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for business audiences.

  • Experience as a Product Owner, Business Product Owner, PLM Lead, or PLM Process Owner.

  • Experience delivering Teamcenter upgrade, transformation, or cloud migration programmes.

  • Experience within consumer products, advanced engineering, manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, medical device, or similar complex product development environments.

  • Experience managing globally distributed stakeholder groups and delivery teams.
