Our challenge

Pricing Business Systems Analyst (BSA) with Commercial Lending expertise to support pricing engine modernization by discovering business rules, documenting pricing logic, and translating business requirements into functional specifications.

Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Charlotte, NC/Pennington, NJ is $125k - $130k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze current pricing processes, calculators, spreadsheets, and legacy systems.
  • Document pricing rules, decision trees, and calculation logic.
  • Gather and refine business and system requirements.
  • Create user stories, process flows, functional specifications, and acceptance criteria.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Lending SMEs, Finance, Treasury, and Technology teams.
  • Support backlog grooming, UAT, and business validation activities.
  • Ensure pricing outcomes align with business objectives and regulatory requirements. 

Requirements:

  • Strong experience in Commercial Lending, including loan pricing, credit products, lending workflows, and pricing methodologies.
  • Proven expertise in gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements, functional requirements, and business rules.
  • Experience analyzing pricing engines, pricing calculators, spreadsheets, legacy systems, and related lending applications.
  • Strong understanding of pricing logic, decision trees, calculation models, profitability analysis, and risk-based pricing concepts.
  • Hands-on experience creating user stories, process flows, use cases, functional specifications, acceptance criteria, and workflow documentation.
  • Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments, including backlog grooming, sprint planning, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with Product Owners, Commercial Lending SMEs, Finance, Treasury, Operations, and Technology teams.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process-mapping skills with attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of commercial banking regulations, compliance requirements, and lending governance standards.
  • Experience supporting system modernization, digital transformation, or pricing platform implementation projects is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with data analysis and reporting tools such as Excel, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex business needs into clear functional requirements.
  • Certifications such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, Agile/Scrum Certification, or Banking/Lending-related certifications are a plus

Preferred, but not required:

  • Experience with commercial loan origination, pricing, treasury, profitability, or risk management systems.
  • Knowledge of pricing engine modernization initiatives and lending technology platforms.
  • Prior experience working with large-scale banking transformation or system integration projects.
  • Understanding of financial modeling, revenue optimization, and portfolio pricing strategies.
