This role can be based in various offices, on a remote basis. This role reports to the Director, Enterprise Content & Cloud Services.

Position Summary

The Power Platform Engineer is responsible for administering, designing, and delivering secure, scalable Power Platform solutions across the firm’s Microsoft 365 tenants. This position sits within the Cloud Services team and is a key contributor to Power Platform environment strategy, governance, and lifecycle management. The Power Platform Engineer also serves as a Power Platform Administrator, partnering with various technology teams, Information Security, and other functional groups to deliver enterprise solutions using the Power Platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establishes and maintains Power Platform standards, best practices, Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) processes, and solution packaging
  • Designs, builds, and administers Power Platform environments, including environment strategy, DLP policies, connectors, capacity planning, and tenant-level configuration
  • Serves as the Power Platform Administrator for the firm’s Microsoft 365 tenants, managing platform governance, security, and compliance
  • Designs and develops enterprise-grade solutions using Power Apps (Canvas and Model-driven), Power Automate, Power Pages, Power BI, and Dataverse
  • Integrates Power Platform solutions with Azure services (Functions, Logic Apps, API Management, Service Bus, Key Vault, Storage, Entra ID, Graph API, Synapse) and external platforms including AWS and GCP via APIs/Third Party APIs and secure connectors
  • Collaborates with Information Security to ensure solutions meet firm security, privacy, and compliance requirements
  • Acts as a Power Platform technical advisor to various teams, helping assess use cases, scope solutions, and select appropriate technologies
  • Leads troubleshooting and performance tuning of Power Platform solutions in development and production
  • Reviews existing Power Platform solutions and recommends improvements, refactoring, or re-architecture as needed
  • Provides technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to developers and citizen developers
  • Evaluates new Power Platform features, connectors, and roadmap items for potential firm adoption
  • Works with vendors and Microsoft support as needed to resolve platform and solution issues
  • Authors and maintains platform documentation, standards, and architectural guidance
  • Creates and delivers technical presentations and training sessions to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Appears on camera for video meetings with colleagues and vendors
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

Skills & Competencies

  • Deep knowledge of Power Platform governance, security, DLP, environments, and ALM
  • Proficiency building integrations using REST APIs, custom connectors, and authentication patterns
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft 365, Entra ID, identity, and role-based access control
  • Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and tools for Power Platform deployments
  • Strong understanding of cloud concepts, networking fundamentals, and secure application design
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and business audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to lead discussions, technical reviews, and design sessions
  • Strong attention to detail with solid time and project management skills
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently, and comfortable operating in a shared services model

Education & Prior Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or equivalent practical experience
  • 5+ years of experience in application development, platform engineering, or cloud solutions roles
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform in an enterprise environment
  • Strong hands-on experience administering and developing within the Microsoft Power Platform
  • Experience supporting or administering Power Platform at scale
  • Experience integrating Power Platform with Azure services and third-party cloud platforms (AWS, GCP)
  • Experience with scripting and automation using PowerShell, Python, JavaScript and/or React
  • Certifications in Power Platform, Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS, or GCP preferred
  • Experience working in a professional services organization is strongly preferred. Law firm experience a plus
