About the ClientOur client is a global organization working to modernize internal analytics across multiple departments. Their teams rely on clean, accurate, and accessible reporting to drive decisions, and they are investing in rebuilding their BI foundation to improve performance, consistency, and accessibility across the business.
About the RoleWe are seeking a Mid-Level Power BI Developer to support an internal reporting modernization initiative. You will primarily work on rebuilding selected Qlik dashboards into Power BI, ensuring accuracy, usability, and alignment with existing data models. This role is ideal for someone who can work independently and enjoys transforming complex datasets into clear, reliable visual insights. You’ll collaborate directly with internal power users and data analysts while gaining deeper context into data sources and reporting needs.
Key ResponsibilitiesRebuild and refactor existing Qlik dashboards into Power BI, ensuring accuracy and performance.
Design clean, intuitive, and well-structured Power BI reports, datasets, and data models.
Work independently to understand data structures and align reports with departmental needs.
Collaborate with internal power users and data analysts across departments to validate logic and structure.
Troubleshoot data or visualization issues and optimize dashboards for usability and refresh performance.
Ensure reporting follows best practices around data modeling, consistency, and maintainability.
Maintain documentation for rebuilt or newly created dashboards.
Proven experience developing Power BI dashboards, datasets, and data models.
Experience working with Qlik, or the ability to reverse-engineer dashboards and rebuild them effectively in Power BI.
Strong SQL skills and familiarity with relational data sources.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong communication skills for working with internal analysts and power users.
Attention to detail, analytical thinking, and a structured approach to BI development.
Experience in BI modernization or migration projects.
Familiarity with DAX, data modeling best practices, and dashboard performance tuning.
Exposure to ETL/ELT processes or data engineering workflows.
Experience supporting distributed teams.
