We are seeking a  Portfolio Strategy Manager to join the Portfolio Strategy team at Marigold. Reporting to the VP of Product Strategy, you’ll be drawing on your expertise in marketing technology to help shape the Enterprise portfolio vision for Marigold and drive it to success. You will build a deep understanding of our vision, capabilities, customers, markets, competitors and technology ecosystem to support frameworks for investigation, evaluation, measurement and decision-making driving the success of Marigold’s Enterprise portfolio strategy. 

What you’ll do:

  • Help shape a winning, measurable portfolio strategy

    • Investigate and evaluate growth opportunities for Marigold’s Enterprise portfolio of products, leaning deeply into your martech expertise to develop an impactful point of view

    • Track and analyze emerging customer and market trends, and our portfolio’s position in the market, to develop insights and inform our roadmap decisions

    • Support the development of frameworks to evaluate, forecast and measure success of strategic investments, working cross-functionally 

    • Build and maintain assets that empower our organization to understand and evangelize our strategy and portfolio story

  • Deliver strategic insights via analysis and research to support our success 

    • Conduct analyses across sales, market, customer and product data to help inform actionable intelligence and succinct conclusions, combined with your perspective and point-of-view on our market position and offerings 

    • Conduct competitive and market research to understand opportunities for innovation and growth within our portfolio

    • Evaluate potential addressable markets and target verticals and how they drive our strategy

Who you are:

  • You bring 6-10+ years’ experience in the marketing technology industry, with experience in at least one of Marigold’s areas of offering (digital engagement, marketing automation, messaging, loyalty, personalization, customer data platform) . The ideal candidate brings direct experience delivering strategic planning and/or solutions in these areas to customers. 

  • You bring an informed point-of-view about the marketing technology ecosystem, how technology stacks are integrated and optimized, and broader trends in adoption and architecture. You have insights and opinions on how brands build relationships with consumers.   

  • You are able to navigate and re-balance workstreams within a dynamic environment where programs and priorities can frequently evolve

  • An excellent communicator who is skilled at:

    • Building rapport and maintaining interdepartmental relationships, working cross-functionally with leaders across the organization

    • Discerning the most valuable insights and takeaways from research and analysis, and presenting them in a concise, visual and impactful way 

    • Presenting an educated, informed point-of-view to groups of diverse stakeholders

  • Deeply curious about translating data into actionable insights to educate stakeholders and inform decisions; resourceful in ability to source data and insights to support research and equally comfortable deep in a spreadsheet as in a strategic deck

  • Demonstrates a strong interest in digital marketing technology and the market trends driving its adoption

  • Autonomous in work ethic with the motivation and focus to work remotely, while coordinating with teams across the world

What we’re looking for:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in technology, software, business, marketing/communications or relevant field of study

  • 6-10+ years’ experience in the marketing technology industry, with experience in at least one of Marigold’s areas of offering (digital engagement, marketing automation, messaging, loyalty, personalization, customer data platform). 

  • Ideally, direct experience delivering marketing technology strategic planning and/or solutions to customers

  • Nice-to-have would be experience in marketing technology or loyalty technology for verticals served by Marigold, including but not limited to retail, media/publishing, financial services, travel & hospitality, restaurants and more 

  • Skilled with data analysis and with using analytics tools, such as Sheets, Excel and/or BI tools to run analyses and produce insights
