As a Platform Product Manager, you'll drive core platform delivery, define product strategy, work with various stakeholders, and enhance user experience through data-driven insights.
About the Role:
- You will be part of the Converge Engineering team, reporting to the Head of Engineering. We’re looking for a hands-on Software Product Manager to drive core platform delivery and help shape the future of commercial insurance technology.
Responsibilities
- Own product strategy and roadmaps across underwriting, claims, broker and partner platforms.
- Write clear user stories/PRDs and partner closely with engineering, design, underwriting, and operations.
- Translate insurance logic (eligibility, rating, filings, underwriting rules) into scalable software.
- Lead sprint planning, prioritization, release readiness, and feature delivery.
- Use data to refine UX, improve broker/underwriter efficiency, and increase quote-to-bind conversion.
- Work with external data partners.
Qualifications
- 3–5+ years as a PM in SaaS, fintech, InsurTech, or commercial insurance systems.
- Strong technical literacy (APIs, data flows, workflow engines).
- Experience with P&C—ideally Cyber, E&O, or Commercial Lines.
- Excellent communication: crisp specs, clear prioritization, confident stakeholder alignment.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-moving, ambiguous startup environment with high ownership.
Nice to Have
- Experience with underwriting workbenches, PAS, quoting engines, or MGA/carrier systems.
- Familiarity with reinsurance, filings, producer workflows, and bordereaux data.
- SQL/GraphQL or data analysis skills.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.

- Pay Range: $145,000– $175,000 annually (commensurate with experience and location).
- Total Compensation Context: This role may be eligible for annual performance bonuses and equity participation.
