HOW YOU WILL MAKE HISTORY HERE…

As Plant Controller, Sr Manager FP&A, you will play a critical role in improving manufacturing profitability by delivering financial clarity, strengthening cost controls, and partnering closely with operations leadership. Through deep analysis of plant costs, assets, and liabilities, you will influence decision-making, drive productivity improvements, and help shape a strong financial foundation that enables sustainable operational excellence.

WHAT YOU WILL DO…

  • Provide overall financial leadership for the manufacturing facility, including forecasting, budgeting, and performance management.

  • Partner closely with Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, and Continuous Improvement teams to identify and execute manufacturing optimization initiatives.

  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of standard costs, including bills of materials, item costs, labor routings and rates, and overhead allocations.

  • Lead and develop a team of finance managers (2 direct reports) and collaborate with dotted-line teams across the plant.

  • Analyze, explain, and report production and cost variances against standards and projections on a weekly and monthly basis; drive corrective actions to reduce variances.

  • Model and assess the financial impact of changes in product design, raw materials, overhead, and manufacturing processes.

  • Analyze and report manufacturing efficiency variances and ensure corrective action plans are implemented.

  • Ensure all cost and financial reporting is accurate, GAAP-compliant, and properly classified.

  • Estimate, track, and report costs related to new product development and contract manufacturing partners.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain cost accounting methods, systems, and procedures.

  • Support plant and corporate cost savings (“Enabler”) programs to deliver year-over-year productivity improvements.

  • Review and strengthen internal accounting controls to protect company assets, ensure accurate general ledger reporting, and maintain SOX compliance.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert in accounting principles, providing guidance, mentoring, and technical support to others as needed.

  • Independently lead plant finance activities with minimal direction while determining the best approach to achieve objectives.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE… (MUST HAVE)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

  • Minimum of 8+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance.

  • 2+ years of experience managing and developing teams, including performance coaching, goal setting, and supporting employee growth and engagement.

  • Strong working knowledge of GAAP.

  • Solid understanding of standard cost accounting and manufacturing finance.

  • Proven success as a strategic financial leader with experience in cost accounting, production planning, and operations analysis.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

  • Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Collaborative relationship-building skills across all levels of the organization.

  • Results-oriented mindset with a continuous improvement focus.

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Access).

  • High attention to detail and strong business process and organizational skills.

IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE… (NICE TO HAVE)

  • CPA or CMA certification.

  • SAP experience.

  • Power BI experience.

  • Experience driving process improvement initiatives in a manufacturing environment.

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing process flows and process capabilities.

  • Prior experience leading teams and managing complex projects.

Compensation and Benefits:

The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between 

$140,300-$201,700

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
