  1. Source: A recruiter sources candidates from various sources; the search starts from our proprietary database. Using advanced sourcing methods like social media, professional networking media, internal, and 3rd party job boards, we identify qualified candidates.
  2. Validate: A recruiter validates the candidates’ experience and skill sets against our client’s position.
  3. Initial Screening: Based on the position and the client’s work culture, the recruiter uses initial screening questions to determine the most suitable candidates.
  4. Submit: the recruiter will submit to the technical team qualified candidates who have passed the initial screening.
  5. Technical Screening: The technical team then prepares a matrix of the particular requirements and required experience for the position and using a list of questions and the results, re-validates the candidates’ technical skills.
  6. Background Check: Administrative personnel will provide a detailed background check, as required, per client agreement.
  7. On board: On successfully completing the above steps, the candidates are welcomed on board and assisted to ensure a smooth integration at the client’s location.

Job Description

Client requires the services of a contract Performance Tester.

The client seeks a contract resource to assist with the development and implementation of a Performance Tester to coordinate and ensure proper load, stress, and performance testing required for all software applications.

Duties include reviewing and understanding all business, design, and functional requirements, gathering proper system requirements in order to create suitable performance test plans, test strategies, test scenarios, load test scripts, and test data; setting up performance monitoring; executing bottleneck, baseline, scalability, and breakpoints tests to ensure benchmarks are met; evaluating performance measurements and analysis of test results; and working with other project team members to diagnose performance related problems. Position also helps coordinate and ensure that all testing activities and deliverables are on time; and verifies all software applications are thoroughly performance tested and meet performance test goals. This position must demonstrate an understanding of infrastructure design, mid tier, and server technologies; software testing lifecycle best practices, procedures, and methodologies.

Skills Required:

  • Experience with use case, test case definition skills, and load test scripting skills using HP Performance Center or LoadRunner, and VuGen test tools.
  • Experience supervising system/integration, regression & performance testers using industry testing standards and practices to support iterative dev.
  • Knowledge of and experience in implementing a large enterprise COTS application.
  • Experience executing software load and performance testing in custom enterprise application software development environment.
  • Experience in a formal QA role, or equivalent.
  • Performance test scripting experience including generating automated test scripts.
  • Experience with Java, J2EE, Weblogic, Web Application Frameworks, Portlets, Content Management Systems, Web Services, and XML.
  • Experience with HTML/DHTML/XHTML,AJAX, Flash, ActionScript and other Web based tools.
  • Experience and proficiency using HP Performance Center or LoadRunner, and HP Quality Center.
  • Strong oral, written communication and interpersonal skills in order to maintain effective working relationships with mgt, developers, & project staff
  • Knowledge of and experience with the Curam suite of products.
