What You Will Do In This Role

As the People & Talent Specialist at Inflect, your role is in a strategic partnership with our VP of People Operations. You will be a key engine behind our growth and a guardian of our core values and culture that puts a premium on diversity and inclusivity.

To start, this role will be 75% Talent Acquisition (TA) and 25% People Operations. You will work every part of the end-to-end lifecycle of bringing new talent into the fold - from crafting compelling job descriptions to conducting phone screens. As we scale, your role will likely evolve into a 50/50 split, where you’ll champion internal HR initiatives, onboarding programs, and eventually train our team on how to interview with precision and empathy.

This isn’t a role for a traditional HR administrator who prefers to stay behind a desk. It’s for a "culture protector" who relishes the idea of finding the needle in the haystack and ensuring that every person who joins Inflect adds to our mission of revolutionizing digital infrastructure.

Who You Are

You are probably a student of human nature and a talent nerd. It’s likely that you are fascinated by what makes people tick, and you have a high EQ that allows you to understand what’s important to a hiring manager, even if they aren’t communicating it effectively. You navigate the diverse personalities of various hiring managers and candidates with ease, and you prefer to have a lot of projects running at once, and you possess a strong motor and a strong commitment to excellence.

With TA you simply cannot just "fill seats" and you’re not going to throw a ton of candidates at a Hiring Manager and hope that one sticks - it’s truly impossible for you. You focus on quality over quantity and you will sacrifice a few days on your “Time To Fill” KPI to ensure you’re putting the absolute best candidates in front of Hiring Managers. And you build pipelines that are diverse, equitable, and inclusive because you believe that’s the only way to build a world-class company.

You will excel in this role if you feel like we’re talking about you when we say the ideal candidate brings the following to the table:

  • Passion Over Certs: We don’t really care about your SHRM certifications; we care about your adaptability, your passion, your motor, and your ability to identify talent that others miss.
  • DEI First: You don’t view diversity as a checkbox. You put a high value on building an equitable hiring process and a pipeline that reflects the global nature of the customers and service providers we support.
  • Culture Protector: You understand that culture isn't what's written on the walls; it’s who we hire and how we all go about doing our jobs, working with each other, and working for our clients. You take pride in being the culture ambassador AND guardian for the company.
  • Obsession with Quality: You refuse to provide a mediocre candidate experience, and you reject “spammy” recruiting tactics. You’re a strategist who happens to kick ass at executing as well.
Who We Are

We’re revolutionizing the way companies buy and sell digital infrastructure (Datacenter, cloud, and network services), and we’re extremely proud of that. Digital infrastructure services are the building blocks of the internet and at the core of every industry. Traditionally, it’s been bought manually through service provider salespeople, resulting in high costs, slow procurement cycles, and services that aren’t the best fit—slowing down the ability of companies to build and innovate. Inflect’s marketplace and advisory are removing friction so any company can get what they need, when they need it, with the right deal terms. By achieving our mission, we unlock businesses to build and human innovation to inflect!

Of course, we’re also a startup, and it’s important that you understand what that means if you work for us. We work quick, we work smart, we work hard, and the road to success is filled with some of the highest highs, but also has its fair share of lows. If you’re looking for the same thing day in and day out, this will not be the place for you. (And that’s totally okay!) We’re all owners of Inflect—full-time employees receive option grants—and we know that we’re the reason we’ll achieve our goals, or we’ll be the reason we don’t. So believe me when I say that we’re hell-bent on achieving our goals. If this sounds like the kind of environment you would thrive in, then we’d love to have you!

Day-To-Day Responsibilities

The Talent Acquisition Engine:

  • Full-Lifecycle Administration: Create high-impact job descriptions, post to strategic boards, and manage the flow of candidates through our ATS.

  • Onboarding Excellence: Uplevel the "Day 1" experience for new hires, ensuring they have the tools, knowledge, and cultural context they need to hit the ground running.
  • Culture Guarding: Help implement initiatives that keep our remote-first team connected and high-performing.
