About the Role

The People Operations Specialist (also known as Human Resources Operations Specialist) reports to the Manager, People Operations and Onboarding and serves as a critical partner in delivering seamless, high-quality HR operations across the employee lifecycle. This is a hands-on, people-first role for someone who thrives on solving problems, keeping things organized, and supporting the employee journey. This full-time role can be based anywhere in the United States.

What You'll Be Doing

In this role, you'll be a go-to resource for our People team and employees alike — managing the day-to-day operations that keep our HR engine running smoothly. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Support People-related processes and execute critical transactions in tools such as Workday, Ashby, Lattice, and Zendesk — spanning new hire onboarding, employee transfers, job and data changes, compensation adjustments, and offboarding.

  • Provide onboarding support and coordinate account creation for new hires, working closely alongside our onboarding and recruitment teams to ensure a smooth Day 1 experience.

  • Manage internal records and documentation, performing regular audits to maintain data accuracy, integrity, completeness, and compliance.

  • Deliver employee support by managing and responding to employee inquiries submitted through our ticketing system, Zendesk — ensuring timely and accurate responses.

  • Assist with report creation, data analysis, and workforce metrics to support People team decision-making.

  • Manage end-to-end immigration programs, ensuring compliance with U.S. and international immigration laws and company policies.

  • Lead all aspects of the contractor lifecycle, including onboarding, extensions, renewals, offboarding, and compliance.

  • Partner with the broader People Team on ad hoc projects as they arise, and support additional HR responsibilities as needed to improve HR service delivery and enhance the overall employee experience.

  • Collaborate closely with the People Team to ensure all employees have a positive experience throughout their end-to-end journey with the company.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for a team player who brings a service-oriented mindset to everything they do. The ideal candidate is someone who:

  • Is a "hands-on" generalist, someone who thrives in a role centered on supporting others and is skilled at building relationships across all levels of the organization.

  • Brings a high level of integrity and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with maturity and discretion is a must.

  • Has a proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, juggling multiple projects and priorities while demonstrating excellent time management, organization, and attention to detail.

  • Is excellent with data entry, data auditing, and working with large data sets to identify and correct discrepancies and recommend solutions .

  • Has familiarity with HRIS systems (Workday experience is a strong plus).

  • Is proficient in Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel, including working knowledge of formulas, functions, and pivot tables for data analysis and reporting.

  • Is customer-service oriented and approaches every employee interaction with professionalism

  • Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain HR processes clearly to employees at all levels.

  • Has an ability to quickly adapt to a fast paced environment.

Requirements
  • At least 4 years experience in People Operations

  • Prior experience supporting immigration and visa processes (e.g., H-1B, OPT, PERM).

  • Experience managing contractor or vendor onboarding workflows.

  • Background in a high-growth or tech environment.
