Summary 

The People Operations Analyst is responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of all employee-lifecycle data entered into ADP Workforce Now and Dayforce. By combining meticulous data management with a continuous-improvement mindset, the incumbent will strengthen data integrity, support the employee lifecycle, and streamline core HR processes.  This role also administers human resources programs, policies and practices in a service center HR model. Maintains detailed knowledge of HR service areas and answers employee inquiries pertaining to HR programs, processes, procedures and communications. Ensures HRIS data is accurate and complete for reporting metrics and analytics. 

 Job Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage project plans for People Operations initiatives.
  • Support onboarding, offboarding and team member change process (including submittal, approval and auditing)
  • Process employment changes such as promotions, manager moves, status updates, and personal information edits, ensuring approvals are captured and records remain accurate for payroll and reporting. 
  • Field day-to-day employee questions about policies, benefits, and time-off programs, escalating complex issues to HR leadership, People business partners, or the appropriate team. 
  • Provide dedicated support to Canada-based employees by addressing country-specific HR questions, ensuring compliance with Canadian employment policies and benefit programs, and coordinating with local HR experts or external partners as needed to resolve inquiries and maintain a positive employee experience.
  • Maintain records related to human resources activities, policy changes or additions. 
  • Provide support for People Operations systems and integrations.
  • Responsible for implementation and maintenance of HRIS information associated with the collection, retrieval, accessibility and usage of employee information for planning and reporting. 
  • Maintain internal database files and tables and develop custom reports to meet the requirements of Senior Management and staff. 
  • Work with payroll to coordinate retrieval and reporting functions. 
  • Serve as HR liaison to IT function. 
  • Analyze, format and report on HR trends and data insights to key stakeholders and senior level management. 
  • Maintain digital personnel files, monitor I-9 reverification deadlines, and assist with compliance reporting 
  • Contribute to process documentation and continuous-improvement initiatives—for example, updating SOPs, drafting knowledge base articles, or piloting simple HRIS automations—so routine tasks become more efficient over time. 
  • Other duties, responsibilities, and projects may be assigned to support departmental and organizational goals.

 Education, Experience, and Skills 

Minimum Requirements 

  • 5+ years of experience in HR Shared Services, Operations or HRIS required
  • ADP WFN and Dayforce experience required  
  • 2-3+ years of experience supporting Canadian employees across multiple provinces, with strong knowledge of Canadian employment law, compliance requirements, and policy administration.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with ability to formulate and apply resolutions 
  • Excellent technical knowledge as it relates to HR metrics and analysis 
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple priorities 
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills 
  • Expert knowledge, skills, and abilities in using Excel (formulas, vlookups, pivots, merging of data, and security) 

Education, Experience, and Skills 

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business or a related field.
