As a People Development Manager within our People & Culture Team, you will lead firmwide talent, learning, leadership, and organizational development initiatives that strengthen performance, capability, and career growth across our multi-discipline professional services environment. You will partner closely with leaders across audit, tax, consulting, and other practice areas to design and deliver development programs aligned with business objectives and the evolution of our learning culture. 

This role needs a combination of expertise, strategic thinking, coaching capability, and business acumen to deliver value to our employees and contribute to the firm’s long-term growth and success.

 What you’ll do at SN: 

 Learning Strategy & Program Management 

  • Develop and execute a firmwide learning and people development strategy aligned with business priorities. 
  • Build a roadmap for leadership development, capability-building programs, and performance enablement initiatives. 
  • Establish measurable outcomes, track impact, and report results to leadership. 

Talent Development & Training 

  • Partner with business leaders to identify skill gaps and learning needs that drive performance and retention. 
  • Design and deliver programs in collaboration with the Instructional Designer, using blended learning approaches including eLearning, workshops, coaching, and simulations. 
  • Support internal mobility, succession planning, and leadership readiness. 

Manager Development & Coaching 

  • Equip managers with tools, frameworks, and training to strengthen coaching capabilities. 
  • Provide guidance on effective feedback, performance conversations, and employee development strategies. 

Career Pathing, Succession & Leadership Planning 

  • Define career paths, skills matrices, and development plans that promote internal mobility and leadership growth. 
  • Identify high-potential employees and build targeted programs that enhance the firm’s leadership pipeline. 
  • Partner with the CPCO and People Business Partners to align development programs to workforce planning strategy. 

Organizational Development & PE Readiness 

  • Lead strategic OD initiatives, including organizational design, culture evolution, and capability-building priorities. 
  • Collaborate across People & Culture, Talent Acquisition, and Practice Leaders to align talent development with firm growth and PE-readiness objectives. 

Systems, Vendor Management & Analytics 

  • Optimize LMS platform, learning calendars, and reporting tools to ensure measurable delivery. 
  • Manage external vendors and certification programs. 
  • Track key HR metrics and translate findings into actionable insights. 

Culture & Collaboration 

  • Champion a culture of continuous learning, accountability, and inclusion. 
  • Partner across HR, practice leaders, and external providers to ensure learning initiatives reinforce firm values. 

What you may have done before:  

  • Built or scaled learning and development programs within a professional services or performance-driven CPA firm. 
  • Designed blended training programs and managed LMS platforms or learning technologies. 
  • Supported career development, succession planning, or leadership development initiatives. 

 What it takes to be a People Development Manager: 

  • 5–8 years of experience in talent development, learning & development, organizational development, or related roles. 
  • Direct experience working within a CPA firm or professional consulting environment; familiarity with billable hours, engagement cycles, and performance-driven cultures is required. 
  • Proven ability to design and deliver learning programs, including blended and role-based development approaches. 
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and influencing skills across all levels of the organization. 
  • Analytical capability to track, measure, and report on talent development metrics and program impact. 
  • Experience with LMS platforms, learning technologies, and content development tools. 
  • Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution in a fast-paced, evolving organization. 
  • Business acumen to understand how learning strategies support performance, client delivery, and firm profitability.

  • Stage 3 (Behavioral Interviews & presentation) with other member ofs our people team and a presentation focused on your L&D strategies

Salary: The salary range for this position is an estimate of $95,000 - $120,000. A final compensation offer within this range will be based on factors including an individual’s skill sets, experience, knowledge, licensure and certifications, and geography.
