An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Mercer’s client consulting team. Mercer is a global leader in consultancy and provides actuarial, investment, risk, and strategic advice to a wide range of clients across multiple industries.
This exciting role involves providing advice to trustees and employers in relation to their pension plans and overall benefit strategy, and offers a wide variety of exposure and career opportunities, including:
- Working within a team to provide pro-active strategic advice on a wide range of pension and benefit related issues
- Coordinating all Mercer services and relationships and supporting senior consultants in advance of trustee meetings
- Ensuring the delivery of the highest level of service to our internal and external clients consistent with their expectations
- Managing client projects within agreed budgets and timelines including new scheme installations
- Meeting agreed revenue and utilisation targets
- Helping to develop Mercer’s overall service delivery in key growth areas
- Developing and strengthening the individual’s consultancy skills and pensions industry & multinational client knowledge as part of an engaging and market leading team
The main areas of focus for this role will be on Defined Contribution Pension plans operating under their own trust or as a participant in the Mercer Master Trust. There will be excellent opportunity for progression and career development within the group.
You will be based in our Dublin office, with work from home permitted up to 2 days per week. This role within the team is intended for a candidate with employee benefits experience and with the QFA qualification or equivalent.
We will count on you to:
- Provide advice to a diverse range of trustees and employers.
- Oversee the day to day management and development of client relationships.
- Manage the delivery of client projects to deadlines and budgets.
- Develop in-depth knowledge of Mercer’s best ideas and solutions in order to provide valuable advice and communicate effectively with clients.
- Collaborate with colleagues across different departments and business units to drive successful client outcomes.
- Help drive revenue growth through the development of existing solutions and the successful introduction of new solutions.
- Deliver results against own personal and business targets.
- Gather and analyse data and insights from internal teams to create clear and informative presentations and communications.
- Maintain CPD record and ensure compliance with all regulatory standards.
What you need to have:
- Third level qualification with a strong academic track record.
- Proven ability to deliver excellent client service and build strong working relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Comfortable in a client facing role, with experience presenting and managing client meetings.
- Strong project management skills. Proven ability to manage simultaneous projects and to meet multiple deadlines.
- An understanding of market developments, pension themes, and the key issues facing our clients.
- Proactive and goal orientated.
- Possess a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
