Payroll Specialist

We are currently looking for a driven and very client-focused individual for our payroll department. This is a fast-paced and dynamic position that involves a high level of cross-functional interaction with the entire team. In addition, you will work closely with our accounting and compliance team members in ongoing client support and regular reporting tasks.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Daily entries and updates to client payroll accounts
  • Sending out payroll reminders to clients 3-4 days before payroll processing
  • Finalizing and running payroll, monthly or semimonthly
  • Onboarding new employees and helping with any questions that come up
  • Sending out payroll tax payments to different state and federal agencies
  • Registering clients when they create a nexus in a new state
  • Assisting with various payroll tax audits and special projects

Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years of payroll or HR experience preferred
  • Close attention to details and accuracy with numbers
  • Ability to multitask
  • Client-facing customer service skills
  • Proficiency in Google Docs, Google Spreadsheets, and Microsoft Excel

Benefits:

  • Salary: $67,500-$80,000 (adjusted accordingly depending on location)
