BE PART OF THE CONNECTION
As a Payroll Specialist, you'll be responsible for the processing of payroll for assigned Spectrum lines of business according to established processing schedule. You'll provide payroll related support for all employees across the enterprise, including helpdesk phone support, direct email support, and other workflow processing systems. You'll also participate in user training, system upgrade testing initiatives, and reconciliation of payroll related general ledger accounts. WHAT OUR PAYROLL SPECIALISTS ENJOY MOST

  • Administering and processing payroll for assigned line of business on a bi-weekly basis
  • Maintaining processing task list and documentation according to department standards
  • Providing payroll support to all employees across the enterprise. Answers employee questions and concerns via phone or email
  • Scanning, linking, and routing payroll documentation using 'Perceptive Content'
  • Participating in system testing for software/hardware upgrades, implementations, and integrations


You'll provide support to all things payroll related; seldom are two days the same. You'll deal with data and reporting so you must be resourceful, eager to learn and able to adapt to an ever-evolving work environment and industry. WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO SPECTRUM
Required Qualifications

  • Experience: Previous multi-state payroll processing experience 2+ years
  • Education: High school diploma required
  • Technical skills: Demonstrated data entry experience. Garnishment administration knowledge (desired)
  • Skills: Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills
  • Abilities: Can read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Travel Abilities: Office environment.
  • Schedule: Flexibility to work beyond established Mon-Fri schedule as needed. Occasional weekend work may be required


Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft HRMS version 8.5 of higher preferred
  • Knowledge of Kronos timekeeping system preferred
  • Some college level business classes desired
  • FPC required (either at hire or within 18 months)
  • CPP desired
