About Onebrief

Onebrief builds collaboration and AI-powered workflow software for military planning and operational coordination.

Today, many critical planning workflows still rely on fragmented systems, static documents, and disconnected tools that make collaboration and decision-making unnecessarily difficult. Onebrief brings modern software, AI, and real-time collaboration into those environments, helping teams operate with greater clarity, coordination, and adaptability in situations where decisions carry real-world consequences.

We are a distributed team of builders from military, operational, and technology backgrounds who care deeply about improving how important work gets done. Some team members work remotely, while others work directly alongside customers in operational environments around the world.

Founded in 2019, Onebrief is backed by leading investors including General Catalyst, Battery Ventures, Insight Partners, Sapphire Ventures, and Human Capital. Valued at more than $2 billion, we continue to invest in product innovation, AI capabilities, and team growth.

In person - Fort Bliss, TX

Why This Role Exists

As a Partner Engagement Specialist, you'll work directly with military headquarters to ensure successful adoption and sustained value delivery of Onebrief. Your primary mission is to help military staffs adopt Onebrief and meaningfully improve how they plan, coordinate, and communicate. Your work focuses on the echelons where planning is most hands-on and fast-moving—these are the units where Onebrief often creates immediate impact, and where your understanding of headquarters dynamics will make you highly effective.

What You’ll Do

Core responsibilities:

  • Customer Onboarding & Adoption: Execute onboarding engagements under the guidance of senior team members. Support internal and customer-facing kickoffs to understand use cases, pain points, and technical requirements. Build strong relationships with users and mid-level stakeholders, helping make Onebrief indispensable for the commander and staff. Adapt standard playbooks to real-world conditions and contribute to expanding product usage across staff workflows through training and engagement strategies.

  • Sustained Customer Support: Serve as a reliable "go to person" during exercises and day-to-day operations. Provide face-to-face and remote support, troubleshooting issues and ensuring smooth operations. Respond to incidents by coordinating with customers and our product engineering team. Master every aspect of the application to effectively implement it across the customer space.

  • Product Feedback & Continuous Improvement: Gather and communicate product feedback from users to the product team. Clearly communicate user needs and maintain high product proficiency. Use your observations to recommend product improvements and excite customers about each enhancement.

  • Account Health & Growth: Develop an understanding of customer dynamics to support retention, renewals, and growth opportunities.

Minimum Qualifications
  • You love our users, and you want to work with them. This is the single most important requirement. Implementing new software requires the enthusiastic support of our user base — military personnel across all ranks and occupational specialties throughout the Department of War. You understand them, and they confide in you.

  • You understand how military headquarters operate and how to be effective inside them, and want to apply that understanding with our customers. You may not be the most senior, but skillful planners respect you and your ability to quickly be useful and operate with good judgement.

  • You’re technically adept. You don’t need to code, but you do need to be savvy. Can you become a power user of our product and learn to talk engineering with the customer?

  • You work well with customers. You demonstrate strong interpersonal skills by communicating with clarity and influence and cultivating trust.

  • You communicate clearly, concisely, and candidly. Our Company relies on you to assess the situation within your account and effectively communicate your assessment and recommendations.

  • You hold a current Secret Clearance and have the ability to access DOD facilities and installations.

Preferred Qualifications
  • You pay attention to detail. People rely on you. On your previous teams, you had a reputation as a workhorse. Example: we’re about to run a planning exercise, which will be the client's first exposure to our product. No one is worried, because they know you’ve taken care of it.

  • You're scrappy and resourceful. You find creative solutions with limited resources, adapt quickly when plans change, and push through obstacles without waiting for perfect conditions. You make things happen.

  • You’re intense about our mission. It’s a core part of who you are.

  • You’re proactive and adaptable. Comfortable working autonomously or with cross-functional teams, especially in fast-paced or ambiguous settings.

Indicators of Success

This role will evolve as priorities change, but the outcomes below reflect what success typically looks like in the first six months.

  • Opinion and expertise are valued by the customer and company alike (rapport/trust)

  • Learns quick, identifies opportunities and drives progress within the account (Forward-leaning/ bias for action)

  • Open-minded and able to pivot when priorities shift (Adaptability/ Humility)

  • Expands usage over time targeting high value workflows

  • Surfaces product feedback that actually shapes future product improvements
