Summary

The Outside Sales Account Representative serves as the primary liaison between the company and our domestic industrial and MRO customers. The role blends customer-facing sales activities, order processing, and cross functional coordination to ensure timely delivery of products and services. The OSAR works closely with engineering, manufacturing, quality, logistics, and program management teams to translate customer requirements into actionable solutions and to maintain strong, profitable relationships.

What You'll Do

  • Act as liaison between customers and the organization.
  • Build and maintain a robust network of customer contacts, including weekly visits (≈ 50 % of time on site at the customer plant or our facilities).
  • Prepare periodic sales reports showing volume, potential sales, and expansion opportunities.
  • Gather data for departmental forecasts and business planning.
  • Conduct pre call planning, post call follow up, and prospect new business.
  • Provide timely quotes, negotiate pricing & delivery, and issue price change notices.
  • Plan, control, and manage sales activities to maximize volume and potential sales from key customers.
  • Manage inventory levels and schedule shipments, collaborating with warehouses and logistics partners.
  • Monitor sales results, implement counter measures, and update weekly sales reports (by end of business day each Thursday).
  • Coordinate with engineering, program management, quality, manufacturing, and purchasing to develop product definitions responsive to customer needs.
  • Manage mature products through phase‑out, working with customers to achieve zero obsolete inventory at end of service life.

What You Need

High School diploma or GED.

3–5 years in sales within MRO or industrial sectors and in customer facing roles.

Travel

Travel up to 25% domestic and international.
