Job Description Summary:

SOLV Energy’s Operational Technology Solutions (OTS) organization provides state-of-the-art OT solutions focused on maximizing energy yield of utility-scale renewable generation plants. This position is responsible for assisting in successfully moving awarded projects through OTS Pre-Construction processes and project set up.
This role can be fully remote or hybrid, with regular in-office presence in San Diego, CA or Bend, OR. Specific location details and expectations will be discussed during the interview process.

Job Description:

Position Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Assist OTS Pre-Con PM in overseeing OTS EPC projects during the pre-construction phase, including scope, schedule, and budget.

  • Assist in maintaining OTS Pre-Construction Tracker

  • Attend all BD to Pre-Con handoff calls

  • Generate job start forms/setting projects up in CMiC

  • Assist in kicking off OTS design as directed by the OTS Pre-Con PM

  • Assist in collaborating with procurement teams to draft project Bill of Materials (BOM) and processing integrator contracts

  • Assist in collaborating with EPC Pre-Con in processing SOLV-to-SOLV Agreements

  • Assist in tracking and reviewing SOW exhibits

  • Assist in reviewing and updating project schedules

  • Assist in financial/month end reporting for projects during pre-construction phase  

  • Assist in setting up thorough project handoffs from OTS Pre-Con to OTS PMs

  • Assist in collaborating with EPC teams to process and import full project budgets into CMiC

  • Support a culture of continuous improvement and look for opportunities to improve processes and efficiency.

Objectives or Goals to Measure Performance:

  • Successful project set-up and hand off to project execution teams.

  • Promote a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing.

  • Delivering professional work products with accuracy, integrity, and excellence.

Minimum Skills or Experience Requirements:

  • General knowledge of SCADA and/or OT system design, setup, commissioning and support (desired but not required).

  • Customer escalation and conflict resolution skills desirable.

  • Resource planning and mitigation management.

  • Cost budget management.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Understanding diagrams and schematics including but not limited to, power system, networking and control, electrical, mechanical and civil layouts.

  • Experience working with schedule software including but not limited to Oracle P6 and/or Microsoft Project.

  • Proficient use of Microsoft office tools including but not limited to Word, Excel, Outlook, Sharepoint, Power BI.

  • Experience using task management tools is a plus.

Preferred Skills or Experience Requirements:

  • 2 years of PV solar industry experience (industrial or utility scale experience desired).

  • Experience with basic renewable generation monitoring functions and designs.

Compensation Range:

$24.31 - $29.18
