Organic Search & Content Strategy Director
The Director, Organic Search & Content Strategy is responsible for leading EverBank's enterprise strategy for organic growth across search engines, AI-driven discovery platforms, and content ecosystems. This role owns the intersection of SEO (Search Engine Optimization), GEO (Generative Engine Optimization), and enterprise content strategy, ensuring that EverBank's content and digital presence are discoverable, authoritative, and optimized for both traditional search and AI-generated experiences. The Director drives scalable strategies that increase qualified acquisition, improve engagement, and enhance long-term customer value.
Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Define and lead enterprise SEO and GEO strategy.
  • Own enterprise content strategy including authority, roadmap, and lifecycle optimization.
  • Establish best practices for SEO, GEO, and AI discovery.
  • Drive integration between content and organic performance.
  • Own organic performance metrics including traffic, conversion, and business impact.
  • Partner with Product and User Experience (UX) to embed SEO into site architecture and content models.
  • Align SEO with Paid Search to optimize efficiency.
  • Ensure regulatory and compliance adherence.
  • Establish Content Management System (CMS) workflows and content governance.

Educational Requirements

  • University (Degree) Preferred

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience developing and executing SEO, organic search, and content strategy programs that drive measurable business growth and customer acquisition.
  • Demonstrated expertise in SEO best practices, including technical SEO, content optimization, site architecture, keyword strategy, analytics, and performance measurement.
  • Experience partnering with cross-functional teams (Product, UX, Marketing, Content, Compliance, and Technology) to implement enterprise-wide digital content and search initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience leading enterprise SEO, content strategy, and organic growth programs within highly regulated industries such as financial services, banking, or fintech.
  • Experience with Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) and AI-driven discovery platforms, including strategies to improve visibility in AI-generated search and answer experiences.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Digital Media, or a related field, along with advanced proficiency in SEO tools, content management systems (CMS), and digital analytics platforms, highly preferred
