The Organic Growth Marketing Manager will lead non-paid acquisition strategies, focusing on SEO, content, and community engagements to drive traffic and sign-ups for Heard.
At Heard, we’re building the financial back office for therapists and we’re growing fast. As we scale from $10M to $25M+ in ARR, we’re doubling down on non-paid acquisition channels: our website, socials, communities, and events.
We are looking for someone who lives for non-paid tactics: SEO, content marketing, social, community, and events. You’ll be a driving force of our next chapter: crafting and scaling creative, data-driven playbooks that drive traffic, engagement, and sign-ups, and put Heard front and center.
You’ll collaborate closely with marketing, sales, partnerships, and product to launch campaigns, activate communities, and unlock new acquisition paths. If you thrive at the intersection of creativity and growth, and love building, this is the role for you.
What You'll Own:
- Architect our non-paid acquisition engine across website, blog, social, and community to drive therapist traffic, engagement, and sign-ups.
- Drive our SEO roadmap including keyword research, on-page tweaks, technical audits, and AI-powered content ideation while staying ahead of algorithm shifts (or bringing in technical support as needed) to lift rankings and conversions.
- Plan and optimize pillar blog posts, guides, and how-tos that solve therapists’ biggest challenges, then repurpose each asset into social carousels, short-form videos, and in-product tips.
- Own content strategies for LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, and Twitter, testing hooks, formats, and cadences to maximize reach, engagement, and click-throughs.
- Drive event-based acquisition by owning virtual webinars and local meetups to spark conversation, capture qualified leads, and feed the funnel.
- Launch bold, creative campaigns, partner with relevant creators, and build influence where therapists gather online and offline.
- Launch and learn quickly: A/B test content, channels, and formats; double down on winners and cut through noise to optimize impact.
- Develop growth experimentation processes and tooling—dashboards, test logs, analytics rituals—that enable data-informed decision-making without requiring a large analytics team.
- Define and report on key growth metrics including CAC (organic), conversion, engagement, and attribution without needing a 10-person data team.
You Might Be a Fit If:
- You’ve driven organic growth at a fast-paced startup—owning social, community, and SEO.
- You understand SEO (keyword research, on-page tweaks), the changing landscape, and know when to bring in specialist support.
- You’ve built content engines, launched campaigns, or bootstrapped channels with minimal resources.
- You’re creative and data-driven: a left-brain/right-brain hybrid who tests fast and thinks clearly.
- You’ve played at the edge of marketing—be it guerilla, field, social, or community—and you have stories to show for it.
- You’re tool-savvy: You don’t wait on eng, you use what’s available (AI tooling, Webflow, Zapier, Airtable, Figma, etc.).
- You’re scrappy and resourceful—you’ve driven growth without a six-figure budget.
- You’re not precious. You build, test, ship, and learn. You’ll throw away 90% of what you try and get 10x return from the 10% that works.
- You deeply care about brand and voice, and know how to stretch them across channels with consistency.
- You can create content yourself across video, visuals, copy, distribution and build systems so others can too.
What We're Offering:
- A rare chance to scale a frontier function of Heard. Organic growth is foundational to Heard’s growth story and you are a leading role in that.
- A company with strong product-market fit, thousands of paying customers, and a mission that actually matters.
- Resources to build, test, and scale—contractor budget, tooling, and leadership support.
- Competitive compensation, meaningful equity, and comprehensive benefits.
- A culture that values speed, clarity, and trust—with real ownership and runway.
Why This Role Matters:
- This is the unlock for self-serve scale. We’ve nailed our inbound motion—but organic needs its champion. The right person in this seat won’t just grow traffic. They’ll grow influence. Reach. Brand. They’ll help us become the voice of the industry—and help therapists everywhere find Heard before they even realize they need us.
Heard is an equal opportunity employer. We aim to build a workforce of individuals from different backgrounds, with different abilities, identities, and mindsets. Even if you do not meet all of the qualifications listed above, we encourage you to apply!
