Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated professional to join our Bethesda-based professional services firm and become an integral part of a team responsible for migrating an expansive on-premises Oracle EBS system to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

The individual selected to fill this position must be a responsible, results-oriented individual with a passion for detail and achievement; an innovative thinker who understands multiple module configurations in Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS); has a thorough understanding of major financial transaction and reporting business processes; and possesses experience migrating complex EBS on-premises systems to an OCI platform.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement migration strategies for moving on-premises Oracle EBS and associated Oracle databases to the OCI platform.
  • Support the planning and execution of the migration of on-premises Oracle EBS and associated Oracle databases to the OCI platform.
  • Assess existing on-premises infrastructure and applications to determine the best migration approach.
  • Design and implement migration strategies to minimize downtime and ensure data integrity.
  • Evaluate and utilize various database migration services available in OCI.
  • Perform on-premises data migration to the prepared OCI platform, ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity.
  • Utilize Agile practices to collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless migration and integration with minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Develop and maintain migration documentation, including architecture diagrams, migration plans, runbooks including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
  • Provide support throughout the migration process.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational security and data governance policies.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Oracle application and database migration.
  • Proven experience in cloud architecture and migration, specifically with OCI.
  • Knowledge of migration tools and gateways (e.g., Oracle Data Pump, Oracle GoldenGate, etc.) to enable secure and efficient transfer between on-premises and cloud environments.
  • Strong understanding of on-premises EBS environments.
  • Expertise in cloud architecture and migration strategies.
  • Proficiency with OCI services and tools.
  • Knowledge of Oracle Federal Financials FV, GL, AP, AR, PO
  • Knowledge of Oracle USSGL Accounting
  • Knowledge of networking, security, and compliance in cloud environments.
  • Experience with automation and orchestration tools.
  • Ability to design and implement scalable, resilient, and secure cloud solutions.
  • Strong understanding of database deployments.
  • Excellent critical thinking skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
  • Ability to pass CMS background check and meet the residency requirement for having resided in the US at least (3) three out of the last (5) five years

Preferred Qualifications

  • OCI certification (e.g., Oracle Cloud Infrastructure 2025 Migration Architect Professional) is a plus.
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
  • Prior Federal experience.
