Job Description:
- Collaborate with experienced engineers to design and develop advanced optical interfaces for Calix Optical Access Networks.
- Help define and deliver high-performance, scalable fiber broadband systems.
- Participate in hands-on lab testing, signal analysis, and system validation.
- Contribute to the integration of cutting-edge optical technologies from concept to deployment.
Qualifications:
- A degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3 Years of Engineering experience in Optical Communications.
- Outstanding academic performance in signals & systems, communication theory, and photonics.
- Familiarity with optical communication concepts like lasers, photodiodes, and fiber signal dispersion.
- Interest in high-speed data transmission (10G to 400G) and IEEE 802.3 standards.
- Exposure to tools like oscilloscopes, BER testers, and Python for automation is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Projects or coursework involving coherent optics, ROADM, or silicon photonics.
- Experience with optical modeling tools or embedded systems.

- Hybrid schedule - Located near a Calix Office in Plymouth, MN, Richardson, TX, San Jose, CA or Petaluma, CA
Compensation will vary based on geographical location (see below) within the United States. Individual pay is determined by the candidate's location of residence and multiple factors, including job-related skills, experience, and education.
