Wachter is accepting applications for an Opportunity Engagement Team Specialist to work remotely.
Join our dynamic team as an Opportunity Engagement Specialist, where you will serve as the strategic engine of our sales pipeline. In this role, you will manage the intake, qualification, and routing of Salesforce opportunities to determine which internal departments are best suited to respond based on pre-defined executive standards.
You will analyze complex technical scopes—ranging from local electrical installs to nationwide rollouts and multi-site projects with technologies of physical security, networking and Audio Visual—and leverage approved AI tools to fast-track document review. If you excel at spotting key details, extracting vendor responsibilities, and routing projects to the right teams, this is your opportunity to drive our organizational growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Opportunity Evaluation & Routing: Partner with sales and operations to match client requirements with the correct internal departments within leadership standards.
- Pipeline Assignment: Route and assign personnel to active pre-sales pipeline opportunities based on pre-defined criteria.
- Scope Analysis: Read, review, and interpret RFPs, manufacturer specifications, technical journals, and installation scopes to extract due dates and vital details.
- Project Classification: Identify and categorize project types, including local contracts, nationwide rollouts (standardized work with schedule control), and multi-site deployments (similar or dis-similar work).
- AI-Driven Data Analysis: Leverage approved AI applications to analyze large documents, assessing whether sufficient data exists to determine if an opportunity fits the organization.
- Execution & Continuous Learning: Maintain deep, evolving knowledge of company practice areas, organization, and technologies.
- Data Management: Apply a structured, methodical approach to daily data entry, triage tasks, and problem-solving.
- Work Quality: Meet deadlines and maintain high-quality work under pressure with minimal oversight.

Qualifications and Core Skills
- Technical Proficiency: Mastery of Salesforce, MS Word, MS Outlook, MS Excel, and MS Teams.
- Reasoning & Problem-Solving: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and interpret instructions in mathematical or diagram form.
- Communication Skills: Proficient written and verbal English communication. Ability to present technical information effectively to prospects, customers, peers, and managers.
- Industry Knowledge: Broad, introductory knowledge of systems integration practice areas, including:
- Wired and wireless data/voice networking
- Physical security (cameras, alarm panels, door access control)
- Audio Visual (AV) systems
- Local and commercial electrical services

What You Bring and Expectations
- Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred: 2-year or 4-year college degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Management Information Systems (MIS).
- Preferred: 1–3 years of experience working with a systems integrator.
- Preferred: Experience in technical and proposal writing with an understanding of professional, client-facing documents.
- Required: Valid Driver’s License.
- Preferred: Current US Passport.
- Location: Performance-based flexibility to work from home or from the office.
- Travel: Very limited; required only for occasional conferences or team meetings as required.
