Pets Best is seeking an Operations Support, Senior Analyst who will report to the Senior Manager, Operations Business. The Operations Support, Senior Analyst is responsible for strengthening Pets Best’s regulatory foundation and operational consistency to support accelerated growth and increasing compliance demands. Responsibilities include end‑to‑end regulatory screening oversight—such as OFAC and ensuring carrier‑driven and regulatory updates are properly integrated across the organization with associated risks clearly identified and escalated.

Beyond core regulatory duties, this position supports procurement coordination, process documentation and improvement, licensing support, vendor management, and cross‑functional project initiatives. The role operates with high visibility to Leadership and requires strong communication, regulatory awareness, and consistent operational follow‑through. Opportunities for expanded scope and growth may emerge as organizational needs evolve.

Main Responsibilities:  

Regulatory & Operational Risk Support:

• Execute end‑to‑end regulatory screening requirements, including OFAC oversight.

• Support the integration of carrier and regulatory changes by identifying operational risks, escalating impacts, and ensuring changes are fully embedded across Pets Best processes.

• Maintain accurate documentation, operational rigor, and compliance alignment.

Procurement Operations & Vendor Performance Management:

• Support vendor onboarding, training, implementation, and performance development.

• Oversee production outputs and quality from external resources.

• Create and maintain onboarding checklists for new vendors.

• Gather required documents and paperwork for operational and vendor needs.

• Monitor data, identify trends, and escalate issues or opportunities with vendors.

• Act as a liaison between Pets Best and external vendors.

• Communicate with vendors regarding project status, onboarding timelines, training plans, and process updates.

Vendor‑Focused Operational Execution:

• Interpret and apply company policies related to vendor operations.

• Coordinate with external teams to meet vendor-dependent project deadlines.

Operational Excellence & Team Performance:

• Contribute to team quality, turnaround times, operational consistency, and emerging KPIs.

• Support process documentation, identify improvement opportunities, and assist with implementation.

Project & Workflow Oversight:

• Provide day-to-day work direction to contracted or external resources as appropriate.

• Review work results and maintain workflow productivity.

• Manage major or complex projects, including delegation and review of deliverables.

• May oversee large processes or multi-functional project streams with limited oversight.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Support procurement efforts and internal operational initiatives.

• Collaborate cross-functionally across the organization.

• Assist with business process accountabilities as directed.

• Support ad hoc projects and other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:  

• 5 years of relevant experience, with at least 3+ years in the insurance industry and/or regulatory operations.

• Experience supporting regulatory, compliance, operational risk, or process-driven functions.

• Proven ability to manage multiple workflows with consistency and accuracy.

• Strong interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration skills.

• Effective verbal and written communication skills with all levels of leadership.

• High reliability with consistent follow-through and proactive problem-solving.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to documentation accuracy.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, and standard business tools.

• Associate’s Degree or equivalent work experience.

• Agile and composed amidst fast-changing priorities.

• Forward-thinking, anticipating needs, risks, and operational gaps.

• Comfortable seeking clarity during uncertainty.

• Builds strong cross-functional relationships.

• Professional and confident communicator at all levels.

• Strong personal accountability and commitment to quality.

Expected Hours of Work:

  • This is a full-time position: Days and hours to be determined by needs of business.  Hours to be determined between employee and director
